i'm hooked on this place i found called "the original ray's pizza" - it's not famous or anything but I just found it and is the best pizza I've found in NYC

We have a pizza place out here in Huntington that is so amazingly awesome that attempting to describe their pizza will result in your face melting a la Raiders of the Lost Ark.

Grimaldi's is very good. No Question. Went the other day, line was to long. Totonos is better in my opinions. To bad it burned down about 6 months ago.

John's Pizza is good...but my fav in Manhattan is Ben's Pizzeria for a plain slice.

It has become a hobby of mine tasting Pizza accross the boros and suburbs of NYC. Unfortunatley many Italians now want to run fancy restaurants these days instead of spending 12 hours a day in a pizza kitchen. I am finding it more difficult to find great pizza these days...and I feel it is due to other nationalities just trying to make a quick buck in this business. Just because you worked in pizza joint does not mean your going to make great pizza. You need to love it. :2 cents:
