slim daddy was announced today and will hit stores first week of september. if you were looking for a good blueray player this is one of the best on the market

I'll definitely be getting a slim, I'm looking forward to seeing how Fallout 3 looks on a PS3 (though I gotta love my 360 too!)

The best thing about the PS3 was that it was heavy. It was a great boat anchor. Without the bulk it's absolutely useless.

Had one for nearly 2 years. It sits with a 360 and a Wii all of which I never have time to play. They keep the kids entertained though.

Got my PS3 the first year they came out. Haha I paid $750 for a 20 gig off ebay around x-mas time cause that was way down from when they first came out and were selling for $3k on ebay..

I never use the 20 gig hd cause 90% of it's use is for my 40 or so blue ray dvds and normal dvds

This looks like a good deal though for sure for those that want one but thought they were too much :thumbsup

If it did my laundry perhaps...otherwise my dusty Wii is a sign of how little time I really have. I've literally played Metroid Prime 3 about 5 minutes. When the first one came out, I played it like 6 hours a day til I beat it and got all the rockets and other extras...my how time changes. :(

I'll be getting one pretty much for the Blue Ray player, being able to play the PS3 games is a bonus, I am a 360 guy.

Love my PS3. I moved country and due to my girlfriends excess baggae I couldnt bring it with me but now that the slim one is out Im just gonna buy it I think and have it here. If I go home its easier to take home and keep in my office, so I have one in the lounge and one in the office.

PS3 is an awesome machine - it has so much untapped potential still.

There really is no comparing 360 to PS3 at the moment aside from game selection, which PS3 is catching up with. As more developers figure out how to take advantage of the PS3's hardware and the cost of Blu-Rays continues to decline, you can expect PS3 to surpass the 360 before long.

If you couldn't afford it at the higher price, you probably still can't afford it at this price.

I love my PS3, use it almost daily for playing movies.
