I ate at "Nobu" This weekend in NYC
I took a little trip to NYC this past week end and I ate at Nobu for the 1st time and I must say it was amazing.. the service was top notch! I am now craving it again. I then decided to have Mr.Chows the next day and I must say I was disappointed with the ambiance and meal compared to the one out in L.A I should have gone to Phillipe Chow instead :(
Montreal needs to get some of these restaurants so I don't have to go so far to eat! :) |
I ate there during a NYC webmaster show a few years ago and was blown away. Absolutely incredible.
Nobu is bad ass ;)
We had one move into the Crown Casino here in Melb. AU ... had the pleasure a few times of eating there and never left unhappy
I went to the one in Park Lane, London. It was incredible.
What do you guys get there that was really good? I always get sushi and haven't really been impressed yet. I don't really eat meat other than seafood so maybe that's why I'm missing out.
nobu is the shit
anyone who loves sushi should try nobu but make sure you've got room on your charge card!

Nobu rocks - the recession made it where you could walk in, but still only get an upstairs table

The food is exactly the same regardless. |
Nobu is good, bit over priced though...
Does the iron chef "head chef" still run it?

Where is better in your opinion? I'm headed back there next year probably. Next time (if ever) you're in Sydney try Tetsuyas - you'll have to book a month ahead but it's worth it :thumbsup |
Nobu is excellent. I have 2 cook books from him also.

NYC is all about Lotus New York!

Nobu is one of our best places here in NYC. But I suggest anyone who is into good food to check out the culinary explosion happening in Brooklyn next time they are in NYC. Basiclly all the top chefs from the big places in NYC have opened up their own smaller places in Brooklyn for a fraction of the price and 90% less rif-raf.
Brooklyn is my thing, next time i will go check it out, Alex

First time I experienced Nobu was in London in 05. Courtesy of Tory and Eric of Mac& Bumble. They had to pull some strings to get us in, the food was Great, that was the 1st place I had tempura asparagus. The bill wasnt too shabby eighter, close to 1k for the 4 of us :winkwink: Then they told me to stop taking pics:disgust

Always been happy with the meals I have eaten at nubu, especially when I am not picking up the check.
