Video DRM ... What are the options
Hello everyone. Lets talk content protection
What are you guys using for Video DRM? any suggestions? |

DRM can be easily bypassed and converted, there really is no protection that is effective IMHO.

I think a mix of streaming only content and time released content is the answer. If you want to give them a download, do what Robbie does and give them a small one that is heavily watermarked and not really good to reload to the web, but give them a very high quality stream.
For time released, pirates can only steal so long as they are a member. It will be a hell of a lot easier to DMCA a smaller amount of content (1 - 2 months of updates) than it is to DMCA your entire content library. It's not without flaws, but it will cut down on a lot of piracy. |
Don't do DRM...
If you do anything similar to that, do some sort of Flash videos. |
