I got a parking ticket last Tuesday.

I posted right after 9-11 stating the following.

"Afghanistan will not be a full out war. It will simply be a training ground for America's new police force."

I later realized Iraq was the real training ground. By occupying major cities for YEARS, we now have a brand new police force trained.

It will be 10 years, but they will come for our guns first. Then they will be placed on every corner, of every city in America, fully armed...to battle "drugs & terrorism". To keep us nice & safe......so we won't need our own guns. We now have our own fully militarized neighborhood watch.

Their real battle though is forming the "new society". Some people think the next step in human evolution is the complete pacification of human beings. Turning men into women essentially. We'll still call it capitalism/democracy, but it won't look anything like the "democracy' we know today. It's what Big O' refers to as "progress".

Nope I'm not a conspiracy theorist. No i don't read those kind of sites. I simply came up with this theory on my own based on a very good understanding of the last 2,000 years of history. Everyone wants to get their name into a history book.

How do you propose that would work when the people who sign up for the military/police are overwhelmingly gun enthusiasts themselves? It's disproportionately the conservative/NRA/red-stater types that are most attracted to these roles in society, so it's a bit like worrying that churches are plotting to take people's bibles away.

Ignoring that paradox, it also could never work on any practical level if you actually try to think though the mechanics of about 2% of the population attempting to forcefully confiscate hundreds of millions of guns from the other 98%. The argument assumes godlike powers that a bunch of boring old elected officials simply don't possess.

I hate to generalize, but... generally speaking the type of people who go in to the military are sheep willing to follow or idealistic people who think they can make a difference. The first group out-numbers the second by far.

Taking away the guns from the sheep isn't the problem you have to deal with, it's taking the guns away from the idealists that is. And of course when you have the sheep on your side, you just need to send them out to get the guns from the rest in the name of patriotism and the common good.
