A meal that I sure can't eat every night..

Spent alot of time on dinner tonight...

grilled flank steak in a marinate I discovered that is great,
spaetlze in browned butter, garlic, and parmesan cheese,
copycat recipe of Red Lobster's Cheddar Bay Biscuits.

I'm stuffed full of beef and carbs...and I even managed to get the kitchen cleaned before I sat down..

Yes I do. Just the basic one with the base that looks like a grater with a hopper that slides on top. Works since I don't make it all that often.

i really like flank steak and skirt steak. just sucks that they became ultra popular and now the price is up there with other choice cuts.

I love how flank steak grills up. A local market here carries a marinade by http://www.allegromarinade.com/ It's pretty much everything I was already combining to make my own. A few hours in that inside a ziplock bag.. throw it on the grill and it's yummy.

haha... I typically eat more vegetables, fruit, chicken, seafood, and fish than anything else. Sometimes I think I may turn into a salad, I eat so many variations of that. Refined carbs are usually the last thing on my list.

Family had been bugging me to make spaetzle and the biscuit recipe was something my daughter in law wanted to try so we did.. and they were good.

They drizzled honey and butter on the rest of them this morning for breakfast.. and I browned up the rest of the spaetzle this morning in cinnamon and sugar and they had eggs with them.

me.. I'm carbed out from last night... my breakfast was egg substitute, yogurt and an apple.

So when can I come over for dinner? LOL

Usually Sunday nights I cook a big dinner but my kids were begging to order Chinese so I gave in.

haha.. I always overcook... enough leftovers for at least 2 people to eat a regular meal from.

There's still about 3/4ths a lb of the flank steak left.

Mine wanted take n bake pizza. I'm having a slice of chicken and artichoke in garlic sauce on a whole wheat crust that looks almost like a thin cracker.
