Question about legality of porntubes
Hello,
I have a .com domain that was registered in 1998. It has "porn" as part of it's name. I think both the age and "porn" as part of it's name would be great for SEO purposes. I am not interested in selling it because I don't need the money. I really want to bring it online but I'm not sure what type of content to put on it, and I don't have a lot of time to invest either. Recently I discovered adultvideoscript.com, which seems to be great because not only will they provide the script, but they will also install it, provide hosting, and also provide contect in the form of Video grabber from 9 popular adult websites (redtube, pornhub, youporn etc.). So it sounds like I will have a website with a lot of videos from the getgo. Ok, now not being very experianced in this field, I am not sure this Video grabber from the 9 popular sites is legal. Also, it puzzles me how these tube sites can legally get away with having full length movies? Does anybody know the legality of these two issues and has anyone used adultvideoscript.com and are you satisfied with them? I am also wondering what responsibilty do the tube site owners have with regards to 2257 compliance? Thank you in advance and regards, Mike |

Overall before you do anything like this I would get a lawyer that knows IP to review the business model. |
All tube sites you mention are offering copyright protected videos, these are the illigal tube sites. Try creating a legal tube site, a legal tube site only has videos that are being offered by the sponsors to promote their product. I am not saying this is a 110% safe deal, but pretty safe ! Don't burn yourself on the illigal stuff, plenty of discussions about that on GFY.
A good script is STXT from Smart Scripts. They have a build in system that lets you add sponsors with videos in minutes and the script does the rest for you. Dont forget to link the sponsers from your video pages ;) Good luck :thumbsup |
Thank you to both pornlaw and camchoice for your replies.
pornlaw, I am assuming you are associated with AdultBizLaw.com. It sounds like a great legal resouce for adult webmasters. I don't have a business model yet, but I will definetely keep that site in mind when I am ready to go live. camchoice, Hey thanks for the reference buddy. STXT seems to have a lot of the things I am looking for. Thanks again. Regards, Mike |
