who do you think should stop kids seeeing porn?

1, the website owners
2, the isp
3, the parents etc
4, the goverment

Is this a real question? It is the parents responsibility.

Book store owners do not card people for looking at nudey mags at any store I have been do. It is right there next to Maxim.

Cable companies do not card their users before you order up a porn on tv.

It is not the government's job to teach us morals, values, or responsibility. That is the role of your parents first and foremost.

Frankly, I get tired of these punk ass parents who can't seem to do anything their fucking selves.

Parents own the house, pay the bills, bought the computer, signed up for the internet, subscribed to cable, whatever. You have the power to pass code block, or put software on your computer to stop this shit. Same as a lot of public libraries do.

It is not rocket science, nor should be a question for any serious debate.

I saw some stat recently that said like 80% of kids from 10 -14 have seen hardcore pornography. I was thinking I didn't see a smut film until I was about 17.

Porn wasn't at my fingertips in 0.2 seconds, like it is today. Kids get exposed to some crazy shit at a young age.

Oh, and its the parent's responsibility.

Definitely the parents' responsibility, though unfortunately in this day and age, with so many parents NOT taking responsibility, your kid is likely to get access to this stuff through their peers whose parents don't have tight leashes/controls on them.

They want the government to.....

1. Defend them from every threat in the world. Real and imagined. *chuckle*

2. Teach their kids about history, a vocation, morals, values, team work, evolution, God, duty to country, science, math, among other things. But not about sex (i.e. sex in the schools). *shudders*

3. You want them to bail out your banks, insurance companies, airlines, auto companies, investment firms, but you do not want socialism? *rolls eyes*

4. Regulate who can marry who, what you can smoke, drugs you can or cannot take. Then the government is to 'warehouse' (i.e. put in prison and hold forever) those who do not follow our rules. Whether about smoking reefer, or killing dogs all while preaching forgiveness every Sunday. *smirk*

5. The government is to pay for top notch schools, build brand new roads and infrastructure, pay for every social program under the sun, give tax breaks and bail out to new business, extend foreign aid to every country and cause you support internationally, and some how do all this without raising taxes?

Nigga please.

The government should outlaw all porn except paysites charging $29.95 a month and customers should get a tax credit for all recurring charges.

Oh well... parents are as inept as ever, while its their responsibility to keep their children away from porn (which is something they have never been good at) .... I can see some sort of regulation being introduced somewhere down the line... Ceteris Paribus.....

A short answer should be the parents but like any other activity one does,it's too hard to monitor absolutely everything.

I have to say that I see the strange occurence of girls 18-20 that want to be 'fake raped' or choke on your dick. It is nothing which excites me.. and it's a new trend. I can only point the finger to all the porn that's been lingering around teaching this stuff. I really don't see the excitement of a chick choking/almost puking on your dick or wanting to be raped. For me sex has to be loving to be deep and intense. But I guess this is not the right place to make such a statement :winkwink:

The parents of course. But in reality there is no damn way to stop a kid who really wants to see some naked women / men on the internet.

There is a difference between kid and the term minor. There is a difference between explore and exploit. No minor should be exploited, forced or tricked into to watching porn, but for those denying a 15-16 year old "kid" exploring sexuality (they are already old enough to practice it!), is a fucking hypocrat or lier - or selfdenier :)

Government or ISPs should not interfere in general. That would be censorship. But it is cool enough to make laws that forbid exploiting. For instance, it should not be allowed to trick kids into your sites with domain names like free-disney.com or something like that, and then place bukkake movie clips on main page.

For paysites, it's quite obvious that credit card stop kids from entering. Mostly. But for free sites...I label my free sites with ICRA. Thats all I can do. Then it is parents, web admins at schools and so on, their responsibility to take advantage of that filter.

I think every webmaster should do this. You might get some less traffic, but that traffic is obviously not converting anyway.

I have a 16 year old boy and a 14 year old girl. It's my responsibility to keep an eye on what my kids are doing. They know there isn't anything they can do on our computer that I won't know what they are up to whether or not they erase history.
It is also true that unless you want to lock your kids up and never let them go to a friends house they are going to be exposed. Not all parents are going to look out for what their kids are doing either out of laziness or denial. In many cases the kids know way more than the parents on how to operate a computer.
All you can do is have a good relationship with your children. You have to acknowledge that they are going to see things that you don't want them too but be able to talk to them about it.

I at least try to label all my sites with RTA and ICRA... but it is the parents responsibility to stop giving their kids laptops and private computer time in their bedrooms.

Kids these days are smart and break any kind of "block" when necessary.
