Anyone Else Use Twitter As A Real Time Search Engine?
 

search for "gmail down" and yep it's not only me.

say what you want about the stupid shit on there - for real time stuff it's better than google.

thus the point of the caffeine update is twitter - not bing.

Honestly in my opinion ... google and twitter are not even in the same galaxy. Twitter is highly overrated and although people do search for random data on twitter, they always revert back to google for real search results.

I do. It's also useful it for domain/blog/search term trends analysis and forecasting purposes. With the recent GEO-specific change to its API, it's even useful for local search/local trends.
