Need hotel close to the Amsterdam Radisson

Any suggestions? Show hotel is not going to work out.

TheDA 08-26-2009 10:21 AM

NH Krasnapolsky is good.

At their prices it should come with hookers and blow. :1orglaugh

Go to www.vrbo.com and put in Amsterdam. Some really, really nice apartments for rent that are much, much, much cheaper than the hotel and only one mile away, if that.

I need to find something that is walking distance for someone that may not be able to walk more than a couple blocks. But thanks, I will try to filter through this stuff.

Damn, looks like I have been missing out on stuff when I visit then :)

I don't think it was too bad price wise. In fact I am sure that a few years ago, at show time it was actually cheaper than the Radisson. I haven't compared lately.

http://www.parkplaza.com/amsterdamnl_victoria is just around the corner

or just look at this map
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sour...,0.017574&z=16

If Im not mistaken Radisson is on Rusland and the hotel you are suggesting is not exactly right around the corner. I could be wrong but that is what it looks like according to the map

Around the corner to the Dutch could mean any corner, not necessarily the closest one. :1orglaugh

Look for "the black tulip"
Or you look at hotels<dot>nl Then you can see on a map where the hotels are located.
On Priceline are a few good hotels for good prices. Krasnapolsky for 80 dollars is possible.

But why not radisson, is it full?

All they had were single twin beds. We got a room at the Doelen.

TheStout 08-26-2009 03:00 PM

How far is that from Radisson?

You should make sure to tell them you dont want a street room too. the amstel rooms are slightly bigger but otherwise you ar looking at 15sq

Hey BD, why don't you stay in Germany, it's only about 60 miles away and you have that $1,500 bicycle you can take with you to commute.:2 cents:

They had two room offerings. We won't be there except to sleep so all I really cared about was a decent sized bed.

Going there for a week after Amsterdam, otherwise I might consider it. :upsidedow

I usually stay at the Eden Hotel by Rembrandtplein. Just across the canal I believe.

Maybe next time. Got it covered. Thanks all.

I got a room at Hotel Fita. I'm not sure how far it is, but I'm sure it's fairly close. It got great reviews and the rooms are really reasonable.
