OK, a tube question I haven't seen answered....

Which of the lower-end tube scripts have the most options as far as ad placement and rotation (assigning ads to categories, pre/post roll ads, etc.)?
I know the higher-end scripts have those options, but I'm also looking for some less complicated and less expensive scripts for other sites.
Hit me.

What price range did you have in mind ?

Tube Ace 08-27-2009 07:35 AM

With Tube Ace you can set 'Site Definitions' which are basically presets for site-specific and channel-specific ads.

If you're looking for pre/post roll ads in the video player you can easily implement JW player which has many customizable options.

Tube Ace 08-27-2009 08:14 AM

Oh and Tube Ace is on the lower end of price, not features.

PR_Sebas 08-27-2009 10:20 AM

All depends on the price you want to pay I guess.

Was basically talking about the $100-$200 tubes, not the $500-$1550 tubes - I'm still going for a full featured one for a different domain, but the cheaper ones are for specific purposes on smaller sites.

Thanks for the info :)

Tube Ace is your best bet ... throw in a custom player to achieve your pre-post ad requirements.

They are also running a sale -- script for only $100 vs. $150.

Va2k 08-27-2009 12:03 PM

Screw that what I do is get jmb's tube script and use openX for my ad's other then that he has great options

CYF 08-27-2009 07:35 PM

look at the free nubiles tube script.

You can do ad spots on the sides and bottoms of videos.

And where does one get one of those at a reasonable price?

What he said, why dont you just get a higher priced one with unlim domain license.

Wouldn't that make more sense? :1orglaugh

It would:
1. If I had any tube experience or was a whiz with scripts in general; the high-priced ones have a steep learning curve - an "outsider" (not one of the scripters, a gfy'er with tons of knowledge/experience in the area), as well as the developer of one of the more expensive scripts, have both advised me to "start small and learn" first.
2. If most of the tubes I'll be setting up were going to need all the bells and whistles; but most of them will be "all sponsor" content so I'd prefer something that just easily imports the flvs, lets me put in the ads and do the scheduling, and move on ;)

Once I get those going, then I can take the next step for my "major" tube with a major script.

Look at STXT from Smart Scripts, Its $200 if I am not mistaken.
It has a Banner system, but if you want to do more then just add banners use OpenX

sandman! 08-28-2009 10:26 AM

why not just get the mech bunny script you can use on all sites you own ?

one single cost for a tube script no matter how many domains you run it on.

Um...I just answered this one about five posts above yours...

tubes are not the problem, maybe it gets the new internet users that might have pulled out their credit cards to buy in the old days, now instead they have already heard of the tubes when they buy their first computer

any internet surfer that has half a clue on how to use google can find all the free content they want on forums and blogspot pages that list all the rapidshare and megaupload links full of membersite content all neatly arranged in forum threads based on model or paysite, all for freeeeeee

:2 cents:

sandman! 08-28-2009 03:04 PM

1. thats bullshit im as clueless as anyone when it comes to programing and have used many of the top scripts in every category you should ask some of the script authors about some of the dumb questions i have asked.

2. i doubt you will find any tube scripts under $100-$200 per domain that are any better then free alternatives so unless your looking at doing under 10 domains it does not make sense.

Well, when one of the top blog/tube people in adult - and one of the high-end script authors, both say "You should start with a cheaper script and learn first" - I tend to listen.

Not that it matters, but as things stand right now, I'm doing 3-4 domains, tops.

Cutty 08-28-2009 03:34 PM

Black Label Scripts is "high end" for a low price.

We have the advanced advertisement options you are looking for.

I thought you were still working on the new release?
Can you ICQ me?

sandman! 08-28-2009 04:05 PM

if you only need 3-4 domains you are right buying a script with unlimited domains allowed is not needed.

good luck on your new sites!

perhaps, but if you are going to pay $600 or more for a 4 domain license, it starts to make sense for future possibilites to just pay a little more right off the get go to have an unlimited domain license :2 cents:

Or, just to use an example, if you're going to buy a script that's $100 for the first one and $50 for each extra one, it starts to make sense to dip your toe in the water on the cheap side - since you're not spending that much to start with.
