Freshman year of high school, first day, first class was "music appreciation". Turns out the teacher was friends with the keyboard player from Journey, and he came in and played that song. It was just amazing. I've loved that song ever since.

as happy as I am to see an REM song posted here, that song isn't even in their top 20 best songs in my opinion. Automatic for the People and Monster alone have some far better ones ;)
