Our 100% valid credit cards [hungarian cards] are getting rejected when trying to pay for the registration. I've heard it can be possible to pay by Epass. Could someone please contact me, I would like to pay 3 tickets. :P

Thanks :)

Good Luck! :)

I think the eden hotel is like 2km from the convetion hotel...which is kind of a long walk :) atleast for my fat ass....

too bad I cant be there, just been to Amsterdam a few weeks ago it was amazing.

Machete_ 08-29-2009 05:40 AM

Will be looking forward to the photos

Tasty1 08-29-2009 06:22 AM

I read that some people go to Hotel "De Doelen". I think that one is the nearest hotel.
booking<dot>com also has good offers. The Sofitel, Amsterdam Grand is also nearby, but more expensive 1100 euro for 3 nights (must be one of the best hotels)

I just booked at Radisson. I am alone so i have plenty of space in my 2 person single bed.

6 more posts and i can put links in my messages

D Ghost 08-29-2009 06:22 AM

spankmo 08-29-2009 06:25 AM

Amsterdam is not so big, it's easy to walk around.. or even take the tram (gasp)

fatfoo 08-29-2009 06:40 AM

Sharky 08-29-2009 10:09 AM

I look forward to it!

FYI - i tried to book rooms online on Thursday and it said none were available. I called the 800 # and they said only a few rooms with "single" beds were available. maybe they will change my room when I get there as I haven't fit in a single bed since I was 10! lol

NETbilling 08-29-2009 10:31 AM

Looking forward to it!

What is the flight time and airline everyone is taking from Amsterdam to Munich on Monday morning?

Yes Sharky is correct. The hotel is telling us they are getting very short on rooms. We have taken over the entire hotel, so anyone you run into in the hallways or elevators will be someone you will want to meet.

Thanks Eric, will reply asap. I just have to clear up the mess the 15 children did in our house this afternoon/evening. The level of destruction is like if we had a college party. But at least I saw some happy n drunk daddies like me around and ate good food :)

I am taking train elsewhere but no need to book. Just pick up passes at the station.

CurrentlySober 08-30-2009 12:40 PM

I went last year, and had a great time.

Wont be attending this year, due to the fact that Im fresh into recovery for my Alcoholism... But I will be there in 2010 for sure...

If anyone's reading this, and thinking, 'Should I go? Is it worth it?' The answer is a big yes!

Have a great time guys (and girls) :)

Ik snapte al niet dat mensen zoveel problemen hadden om met zijn tweeen in 1 bed te liggen. Is toch juist lekker, als je de juiste bedpartner hebt :)

I saw the 1.5 hour flight to Munich is $500 per ticket on KLM. How much is the train?

I just did a quick search on www.kayak.com and found this

$126select Lufthansa
09/28/09
AMS 11:05a
MUC 6:45a

10/01/09
MUC 12:30p
AMS 8:15a

(1h 25m)0
(1h 30m)0

So for those of you looking for flights to Oktoberfest after Amsterdam just search Kayak and you the deals are there.

Andy CHOOPA 08-31-2009 09:15 AM

Shall be attending. Loved this show last year :)

DamianJ 08-31-2009 09:31 AM

One way or two way? This is a bad deal.

look at Atp<dot>.nl for Amsterdam - Munchen
or cheaptickets<dot>.nl
or: lufthansa<dot>com

KLM is many times more expensive, but not always better

Train is more expensive by nshispeed<dot>nl
there must be a nighttrain to Munich for 29 euro.

Bryan G 08-31-2009 09:40 AM

See everyone there!

tranza 08-31-2009 09:45 AM

It is sounding great!

gocubbiesjess 08-31-2009 12:39 PM

Registered, booked hotel..done and done. Looking forward to seeing everyone - first time at this show!

The train trip is 7 hours to Munich, correct?

7,30 hours
nshispeed<dot>nl

By train you can walk to central station and leave. If you go by plane you have to go Schiphol and be there 2 hours before the plane leaves. I think a plane is 2-3 hours faster.
