How many of you got a dual screen laptop ?

Here's a new manufacturer trying to get marketshare from the big laptop producers - Dell and ASUS.

Is this something you would feel peckish for ?

A little more info about the product - Gscreen dual-screen laptop 2009

I think from appearance it's look pretty cool, but even more hipp to grab it up at a webmaster conference or something similiar just to get some attention.

I already know you are attention trolls the whole bunch so dont say otherwise.

Looks too heavy

DraX 08-28-2009 09:19 PM

Looks heavy yes, but you might even get some exercise if you carry that one around at some conference.

the content guy 08-28-2009 09:20 PM

Great! Now I gotta pay to get two screens fixed.

The company hasn't said, but Gizmodo is guessing the weight of the so-called gScreen Spacebook to hit about 12 pounds, hefty but at least manageable.

I don't "carry around" my laptop at conferences. If I am staying there it is in my room; if I am not I leave it in the trunk.

What I do do is carry it around a lot in airports. Lots of big fucking airports. The last thing I want is more weight. They are supposed to be convenience, not a weight training tool. :)

No one would carry that one around at a conference, I wouldnt even bring it far away from my house. It belongs in your office/work space :)

A regular laptop is the way to go for longer trips and visits.

It would be cheaper to just buy a second screen instead of that silly thing...

That too. My 22" would still be preferred as my second monitor. Well, except then I would have three, so that might be cool.

haha that looks sweet! Not sure if i would want on though. I love duel screens as I use to have two pcs with two 22" lcds on my desk and just last week I bought a 2nd 17" laptop to get more shit done.. but I can't imagine lugging around a 12lbs laptop.

If they can reduce the weight in half then it would sell like hot cakes
