Compression of a flv file
I made a video for a blogpost - it's in flv, 1m32sec, 640 x 368 and 7.4mb.
Quality aint the greatest.. how much should a flv of that length be in mb ? for descent quality. |

I think that there is not a number exacly. What you can do is to squeeze it. I use Sorenson Squeeze, that is just great for this task; it will allow you to do many many experiences, in a way you can pic the best output, considering size/quality. Go for it, itīs guaranteed success!

Doesn't Adobe Media Encoder process FLVs? I'm too lazy to open it up and check. As jack said though, an industry standard for video encoding is to "squeeze" it.

our videos vary in size because we encode them to maintain a certain quality level. so its variable depending on the amount of color and movement. we set a level and it encodes it to match that level some videos will be bigger some smaller depending on how much data is needed to maintain that level.
