The one exception...became my first wife and the marriage lasted until I returned from my first deployment...while married to her...only to learn of her activities while I was deployed.
I am surprised that...in your experience...only 25-30% had a substance abuse problem and a little surprised about the 70-80% headcases. My guess would have been about 80% substance abuse and 99% headcases.

Too be fair and truthful to the discussion I must point out that I only report on what was visible to me. I'm sure many more of the girls did have some sort of abuse thing going on whether from booze, drugs, or the kind from an abusive boyfriend. Some just hid it better than others, and many of those girls only got one or two photo sessions out of me so I didn't have a lot of time with them to sense any trouble.
Very few strippers replied to our ads. The ones that did all said they were former strippers not actively dancing who had had one or more children. Seems the active strippers in Winnipeg make so much money it isn't worth their time to answer modelling ads even for nude/adult content shoots.
But on second thought you're closer to being right about the headcase % than I am. Out of say 1500 girls processed over the phone, maybe 600 of those physically interviewed, out of those roughly 150 for test shoots, you'd end up with MAYBE 20-30 girls worth working with (combo of right attitude, right looks, few to zero bad vibes).
Out of those about half will crap out on you in some way over time. No-shows, quibbling about pennies, showing up all fucked up, or whatever.
It's that 1-5% (at the most) that keeps you going. At least that's how I found it.
I do miss those days for certain reasons, but definitely don't miss the headaches and the headcases.
