These 4 entries came from an open nomination in another thread where we asked people to post sites that have the most potential and will benefit the most from a total makeover.

So much bitching in the other thread, such a shame. I think the smaller names stood a better chance the other way around.

You pissed and moaned when you were down about how the voting system sucked, this is what you asked for.

Some people stood up for your product and things started to turn around and look better for Lazerbunny, now the old system was where it's at? Too late.

I didnt say at all that I wanted a popularity contest.. I would lose if that were the case. I dont personally know ANYONE on GFY nor have I bitched or moaned. What I said is if someone says " My vote goes to Aria " then she should get the vote. If they said my vote goes to lazerbunny they should get the vote. Its pretty simple.
At this point, I dont really care.. I thought this would be fun and cool.
Like I said in the beginning, I dont ever enter contests and I certainly dont have a gang of friends on gfy. So that doesnt even make sense.

I don't know anyone personally at Zuzana designs but I thought this was a really nice contest and not only a great way to drum up some publicity for their design firm but also a win / win for whatever program they wind up working with. I thought it was really shitty that instead of just being cool and going along for the ride 2 of the 5 programs pitched a bitch fit because they didn't like the voting system.

You wanted a system where anyone can vote w/o giving their opinion as to why a site is more or less deserving, now you have it and you're still not happy. :disgust

It saddens me greatly that what started as a fun FREE contest seems to have so many people upset. What seems to be getting lost here is that the contestants are out nothing if they don't win. If you don't win this contest, you aren't out a single thing and you'll go on having the same site you've had. I'm amazed that I have gotten iqc's about how upset some people are or how we are voting the wrong way or how this contest is a joke. It's almost as everyone thinks they are owed this design and CMS and that we are somehow taking it away from. That is not the case and the chance to win something is better than not having a chance at all.

The rules were very specific. They were made bold and a different color that each person who voted needed to give a reason why. We didn't want everyone to just hit up their friends on icq for a vote and wanted everyone to have a fair chance of winning. Since several people privately and publically complained about that system, we made it a public vote. Let the contest run itself and then no one has a reason to complain about it.

To those of you who appreciate the chance to get completely free work, at no loss to you at all, I wish you lots of luck and I can't wait to work the winner of the vote ending next Wednesday.

Again, Aria Giovanni is gorgeous and I'd love to be able to promote a newer leak-free tour of her, so my vote goes to her.

Except that this is the Adult Industry, and the prize is getting a porn site madeover. So hot, and nice and all those things some think are shallow all fit into place here.

Well said. I was surprised that the complaining continued in this poll thread even after we abandoned the rules to accommodate those who complained.

What's happened here feels like some kid pissed in the punch bowl at my party.

I guess a few people got so caught up with the idea of free stuff that they felt entitled and forgot that this contest isn't about them, it's about Elevated X and Zuzana Designs announcing a CMS and design package partnership and trying to do something fun and offer someone a free site overhaul.

Neither of us had to offer anything free. We could have just announced the deals and been done with it but I think some people get what we wanted to do and that some of the people who entered really do appreciate the chance to get $2500 worth of free services and have a brand new site as a result.

I hope at this point everyone can let the votes decide the outcome just as everyone said they wanted in the other thread and that will be the end of it. We're also looking forward to working with the winner to get them rolling with our CMS :thumbsup

From purely a sales and marketing perspective, I don't believe the other sites have more potential to make sales than Aria's :2 cents:

I'm placing my vote for Aria, not only because she's always been super sweet and friendly, but also because so many people know of her and the gorgeous work she does. A slick new tour from Zuzana Designs would be great because I know so many people are into Aria already. It would have to be a hit, sales wise. So, on name recognition, depth of great content, positive reputation, and potential for member retention, Aria just crushes. I also think Zuzana gets what Aria is about and would make a killer tour.

This isn't just a free design - it's also a redone back-end. The site that wins will be overhauled entirely and rebuilt inside and out. The end result will be a totally modernized site that's built to sell. :thumbsup

Here are the changes that will be made to the winning site:

Total Makeover Part 1) Add a CMS to give the site more features and functionality:

- Extensive keyword tagging and advanced search options for members
- A-Z model index with model bio pages, upsells and more
- Integrated upsells for DVDs, VOD or other cash programs
- Member previews of upcoming updates to help retention

For most of the sites involved this change will be massive. A few of the nominated sites won't be recognizable after the changeover. :)

Personally I'd love to see the end result of an overhaul of the aria and lazerbunny sites. Aria has great content and tons of it. Lazerbunny has content that's fresh and some pretty hot stuff. An overhaul of cfnm and toeaction wouldn't be as dramatic but would make them 2 of the hottest sites in their niche and those sites probably have the most selling potential within their own niche.

With all sites having exclusive content it's hard to say. It may really come down to who has the marketing abilities to take advantage of this and get the most out of their new site. :2 cents:

Not only do I think she's most deserving, I know she'll be most appreciative as well. As if being unbelievably gorgeous, erotic, and captivating isn't enough, she's also intelligent, cultured, funny, humble, compassionate, and an AMAZINGLY good cook!

When I was in high school, my best friend was in my home economics class and we each had a cooking assignment as homework. He had to make cookies.

I would like to think that my site http://www.lukey.com has a good sales potential. Average site conversion rate is 1:200, just need more traffic as I'm new to the biz running a paysite. Launched six months ago.

You should have gotten your site in the contest a few weeks ago. The site has a nice layout and gets you right to that join. I'm sure it converts well with the right traffic. Good luck getting more traffic :thumbsup
