the guy speaks like a preacher and he preaches. his cadence ... pauses etc. he is already president.. but hasn't stopped campaigning.

and like always, he's totally disrespectful of any opinions other than his own because he has an agenda, one that he's set on and one that he intends to force through the house and senate and any position other than his agenda is not a solution or an answer.

funny he talks about never having such "broad agreement" and says "their answer is to do nothing"

at least bush was just dumb. this guy plays hardball as if he's a senator and seems to constantly forget that he's the president of the united states and is supposed to be representing the ideas, wishes, hopes and dreams of EVERYONE... not just his narrow ideas about what he believes should be done.

Hes just not listening to the Republicans like Rand Paul who have come up with a counter plan that would involve little government intervention. :2 cents:

Well, it's impossible to please everyone... but he is pleasing the people with his health care ideas, this is what the majority of the people want.

It's stunning that Americans can actually believe that one party who are representing 1/2 the nation are just being "obstructionists" which is justification for ignoring their views. This is the same bullshit he keeps saying all the time where its basically his way or "your just a bunch of assholes trying to halt progress"... as if one side is presenting elaborate plans and the other side just has nothing to say but "no" as if that makes any sense or is some sort of concrete fact that can't be disputed. He was saying the same shit about the stimulus plan. he was saying the same shit about the cap and trade bill... he's been saying the same shit about every other thing he's tried to rush through the house and senate.

This nation has to be home to the largest hypocrisy ever. Everyone loves capitalism until economic slow down happens. Everyone loves democracy until their guy loses. Everyone loves freedom of speech until they don't like what they are hearing etc etc etc etc etc.

People in any other nation are less hypocritical than in this one in these ways. In some place like Afghanistan, people know who they are, what they believe in and what they want to fight and die for. ... Here its all just a silly sales pitch to attract cheap labor, chanted incessantly by the growing masses of ignorant people taking over this nation.

the majority of people want to reform the health care system. the majority of people have great concerns over what form that takes.

the majority of people certainly don't think that a massive, radical overhaul of the health care system where government runs it completely is the best solution or that a massive and radical and kinda gray-ish, foggy, ill-defined plan has to happen all at once. that's the dream of Democrats and all the helpless retards who want to believe someone else will take care of them while they TIVO NASCAR and subsist on deep fried cheese sticks.

Well he is saying all the right things that need to be said IMHO..However even though I like Obama, I'll believe it all when I see it. I hope he actually intends to get it done and does it, but he is a politician and they tend to have bad track records these days.

Solution to healthcare? Hmm, isn't the economy supposed to be "solved" right now? As if healthcare reform can't wait? Gotta ram a bill down their throats immediately with force I guess...

I thought that most Americans (something like 53%) oppose Obama's health care plan. They want reform, but are not sold on Obama's version of reform.
