request for comments/traffic

Hi all, im somewhat of a noob, i had a site years ago ie 2000 and made a few hundred bucks for doing not a whole lot, but stupidly never pursued it. Anyway i tried again in late 2007 to start a TGP but didnt really put the effort required to get it going as i had so many other things on the go. Now its 2009, i just decided im going to give this a red hot go this time around. yes i know it would have been better to get into the industry way back in the day when conversions etc were good and you didnt have p2p or tube sites. Im not looking to make gazillions of dollars, but enough to pay rent and have a little cash left, not exactly megabucks.

Anyway as you may have been able to tell, i have been lurking on and off, but i have always been impressed with the feedback most of the webmasters on here give. My site is sexyteengirls.net and ive set it up as a blog. obviously i need to get a better design, but thats not my fortay and as yet i dont have the casholas to spend on a designer. You can also see here a gallery ive put together sexyteengirls.net/galleries/ccbill/babesbank/lovelyanne/red_nickers/stg_gallery.html trying to optimise for SEO, and clearly again not all that attractive in terms of layout. Anyway i think im pretty close to getting ready to submit galleries and try and drive traffic to my site, however as ive started looking around there seems to be so many places with partner only accounts. I dont really want to buy traffic, seems like a lot of it is not worth it, and nor do i have the cash to spend at this time, but perhaps in the future it is something id like to test out. I know im looking at a really hard slog starting from nothing but im ready to put in the time and effort. Can anyone give me any feedback, comments or suggestions?? Anywhere i might be able to get started with traffic??

Cheers
Look forward to your responses...

A few quick suggestions here.

1. The design is more important than you think. Fix it(even with a free one) before trying to get ANY traffic.
2. Need more work on your posts. Fix spelling errors. Try to use a set width&height when posting pic posts. It looks crappy when this post has small thumbs, and the next has half as many pics but twice as big, etc. You get the idea.
3. Make some categories dude. You talked about SEO, but you're not even posting to descriptive categories.
In terms of starter (free)traffic, start posting your site on porn sharing forums. Post your galleries there with a link to your page or whatever.

Scrap the rating script. You obviously are not looking for input from users, seeing as you have the comments closed. On that note, delete the whole comment area from the singlepost page if you're not going to open them. It doesn't make any sense to have every page say "No Responses to "Nubiles.net Cherri – Naughty teen spreads her pussy just to show off her pink clit and pinching her own tits"

Comments are closed."

Thanks twig

I know there is a lot to fix in terms of presentation, but what exactly were you thinking of?? As for the categories, i have to go through all those posts and categorise them and fix them up, at the moment it is just rss feeds added and i havent added any of my own posts yet. I have a huge to do list.....

Thanks for your feedback

Use something like FeedWordPress(free) to import your RSS feeds. This way, you can import them as drafts and edit them to your liking before they ever get published.
In terms of WP themes, there's millions of free possibilities. http://www.freewpthemes.net is just one of MANY sites, not to mention WP own theme directory: http://wordpress.org/extend/themes/

I agree with Twig. I don't wish to be rude but it's an ugly ass blog at the moment. The lay-out is confused and looks amateurish and unwelcoming. You have to create a professional, slick environment if you want people to be comfortable getting their credit cards out, which is the ultimate aim. I realise you are just a launching off point and the more professional sites of your sponsors will take over (if you can get the traffic that far) but your current design will turn a lot of people off.
I agree with standardizing the picture sizes, but I would also standardize that each post needs a description - at the moment most of the posts on there have a title and a picture and that's it. Have a description with each post, a standard sized picture with each post and tidy up the lay-out (for example your Fling advert down the right doesn't even fit in the green panel (change the green colour too by the way).
I would make the advertising a bit more subtle too - at the moment you have your mis-fitting Fling adverts down the left and right side and your Fling pop-up in the bottom right corner - these dominate the page and your posts get lost (yes I know the aim is to get people clicking on the adverts but they won't if they look "thrown in" and don't even fit). Plus you want the visitors to come back time and time again so you need to create a good surfing environment where the adverts "fit" as part of the overall design.
To be honest there are some VERY cheap blog designers on GFY. For the amount it will cost you I would definitely get one of them to redo the design before you start working your tits off promoting the blog. You spend your time on the posts and traffic and get a cheap blog designer to sort the lay-out. Hope that helps! :)

Forgot to say . . Gallery designers are even cheaper as I don't think your current gallery design is that great either. Or to keep costs down you could just use the FHGs (Free Hosted Galleries) produced by your sponsors.

I think your site needs to focus on who is visiting your site. What does your google analytics say where your visitors come from and what key words are used to find you?

A few thumbs leading with a paylink is not going to get you much at all. You need to offer the visitor something they cannot get elsewhere or an experience that is fun and exciting. Design will help, but it is not the only thing.

Also, I did not see any category links or such on your sample page. A visitor may have landed on that page but where else to go if they are not interested in that particular girl?

ok thanks for all the replies.... i guess its an ugly ass site :p HAHA well ok so can you guys recommend any designers or if there are any designers out there can you drop me a line?? i guess i just didnt want to outlay all that much at the moment as im pretty poor, but if the general concensus is redo it, well im sure i can find some coin to get a layout and a gallery done. i realise i have a lot to learn but im grateful for all the feedback and ideas.

Pure charlie, i think you are right, though the galleries are pretty crap at the moment, they are the ones i was going to use to post to various sites so they werent going to integrate with the site too much. I think im going to take out all the current RSS feeds and post my own that ive made from affiliate promo material, that way i can avoid the ugly different rss feed posts.

Seems im too soon eager to get some traffic going, guess its time for some more work then.... :)

In terms of blog designers, I am not really the person to ask on that but I can recommend Sarah at Zuzana Designs for the gallery designs. She will do you a nice cheap deal. Tell her Charlie from PureCFNM sent you.

If I come across any cheap blog designers I will let you know.

Twig 09-09-2009 07:14 PM

Like I said, you can get a FREE template that will work and look perfectly fine. Just have a header made by someone decent for cheap.
