Favorite Red Hot Chili Peppers Album

Red Hot Chili Peppers has a ton of albums. Some are great, some are excellent, some are just ok. Vote for your favorite album.

As you can see, not all albums are included.

My vote goes for One Hot Minute

CunningStunt 09-08-2009 03:55 PM

I prefer their mellower stuff to their thrash, so I'll go for Californication. Blood Sugar Sex Magik is another of my favorites.

They've kind of fallen away a bit in recent years but hardly surprising.

His Bio, "Scar Tissue" is a must read for music fans. Excellent.

Blood Sugar Sex Magik

hands down

Stadium Arcadium #1, with Californication a close #2. Californication is amazing, hit after hit.

J. Falcon 09-08-2009 04:01 PM

Am I the only one who thinks One Hot Minute is an amazing album?

NaughtyRob 09-08-2009 04:02 PM

They are all amazing but everyone has their own taste in favorites.

I voted for Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but I also have a lot of love for Californication and By The Way. I'm a huge fan of the peppers.

That is Kiedes' bio? I know he has had a pretty crazy life. I'll have to check it out.

Yeah - his father takes him to a prostitute aged 14, injecting at an early age etc. Interesting stuff.

BSSM is one of the best albums ever made. However as a bassplayer it is essential to listen to Mothers Milk as well, great stuff overall from RHCP

Blood Sugar Sex Magik was the shit!

Haha. Yes I think you are. Dave Navarro was a very weak link who looks better than he plays, and the band was in a weak place at the time anyway. It just doesn't have the same "something special" that most of their other music has.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check it out for sure

The Red Hot Chili Peppers & Freaky Styley... all the way up to Mother's Milk.

Everything after that was crap IMO.

tranza 09-08-2009 05:18 PM

I'm a big fan of them, it's pretty difficult to choose one, but I think Blood Sugar Sex Magik and Californication are may fav ones!

Spunky 09-08-2009 05:43 PM

I like Californication the best.not a huge fan of them

BlackCrayon 09-08-2009 05:47 PM

I'll have to say blood sugar sex magic. I listened to it all the time when it came out although my first chili peppers album was the uplift mofo party plan. they sure have come a long way since freaky styley, which you forgot to include.
