Like 3 or 4 years ago, I had a thought: "There should be an ipod for movies so people could carry around their movie collection with them like they do their music collection now" only meant for holding full DVD/HD quality movies to connect/watch on a TV vs. ones meant for viewing on the device itself. It'd also have net connection capabilities such that you could rent a movie and it's stream through the device or something. In other words, a more portable DVR. These days it'd work better with more ample storage capabilities but still, companies like Apple can deal with coming out with that type of shit, lol. Chances are with people's fascination with high tech phones and other shit that they'd care more about being able to watch videos on it. I could never do that though...when I was with my ex on a trip once we once watched a DVD on my laptop and it was like torture considering I've had a 40 something inch Aquos at home for a couple years now...couldn't imagine actually watching something on the likes of an ipod or PSP.
Anyways, my father however is the smart one of the family and is inventing a shitload of interesting stuff and basically finalizing patents on the biggest one at the moment. His downfall is that he's a perfectionist and it's highly physics-involved so he's making ridiculously detailed images, formulas, etc. for it. It'd revolutionize the energy industry among other things if it took off - that's the most I could say about it. I consider myself smart but I'd be lucky to know 10% of what he knows...nice to have a brain like a sponge and be open and drawn to learning new things throughout life.
