I have a question about your Pimpmansion.com affiliate program...

For your "Multi-tiered webmaster referral":

Can I use a bot to harvest millions of emails from whois databases and then send out emails to webmasters asking them to sign up using my affiliate code?

And then can I keep sending the exact same email to those same webmasters on a daily basis for a few years? (I would just have my bot scheduled to keep automatically sending and resending that same email).

Or would that be against your programs policy?

If you're in the US, email spam laws will get you..

Try ask a lawyer, I don't think Pimpmansion is qualified to say anything about how legit your E-mail list is and therefor they are not qualified to advise you on what you can do with it or not.

You probably also wanna make sure you label your mails according to the CAN-SPAM act or whatever it is called :thumbsup

I think you'd need a legal advice, and if the sponsors will find out, most likely they will cancel your account.

but nothing is on their site that excludes that way of promoting, their link to their Spam policy is a dead link..

and they have not responded to my icq's, emails, or forum posts..

i dunno.. maybe they are ignoring me?

Sorry for the delay in response here. I only returned from Europe last week and have been playing catch up ever since. I did receive your email while I was out of town and took action based on your comments about our link request techniques.

The issues you mentioned are now corrected. More specifically you mentioned (in your email) how we contact domain owners who use a privacy service, and the lack of a remove link in those messages. We will no longer contact anyone by whois info who uses a privacy service. Also, we now have 1 click unsubscribe links on all messages that are sent.

As far as the spam policy link not working. I was unaware of this and have submitted a task to my team to have it corrected ASAP. Obviously that should be working.
