The sender is [email protected] some well known spammers. Now, spam is not the matter here, but either Topbucks or their processor is sharing personal info with spammers, involving PrivateGold, dunno if with their consent or not. But surely WITHOUT my consent. I'd like to see something about this, this is one fo those "all time lowest" we see from time to time

i love when people try to "expose" spammers :1orglaugh

Sly_RJ 12-08-2002 10:26 PM

Whether you love me or not, that's not the matter, but somebody you're trusting to give personal info is selling it to whoever wants it. Not only that's fucking illegal, but think about surfers getting this mail and not purchasing anything EVER just because they're aware these crooks are selling your info. If you cannot see the real implications in something as simple as what I posted here, I wonder how you can be still in biz :(

Ummm, thats a harmless spam email that may of gotten sent to milllions and why the hell would anyone choose NEVER to purchase again because of a harmless spam, they get this type of shit sent to them all the time. Infact I'm going to take that email and use it as a part of my marketing to my own declined subscribers or expired members.

What is the problem dude? Don't make such a big deal out of nothing. Its called the Internet and anything goes, emails and info get traded and sold everyday. And I don't see any of your personal info listed in that email. Ummm do you respond like this to EVERY spam you get???

Are you saying that you WERE trying to sign up for that site, THEN received that email???

If so...

A. Your signup went through, the webmaster got credit and now they are trying to make some of their money back. Not a problem.

B. Your signup did not go through, the webmaster got stiffed, then they sent you an email. That is a problem.

OR...

You were NOT signing up for that site and just received some spam in which case, what's unusual about that.

they're not necessarily 'selling' your info either. there are other means to getting it.

FINE...

B. That customers email was collected during the signup process and they didn't signup at that point so the webmaster sending the customer misses out, and thats NOT a problem. Its how it the system works. The program now owns his email address and can send him a little spam every now and then to tell him cheap and enticing offers like 1 day free trial after 1 day you'll be charged $40 x 3 = $120. But its all free today :)

Sambuka:
OK, there's no personal info... then, how the hell did they know I tried to sign, I got declined, at what site, and know my mail address and my name? Are you kidding me? Or you really don't know how to read?

Now, if they're not related to Topbucks or PrivateGold, it's even worse, because they're using their names and even naming themselves as "Do Pornstars Staff"

And finally, Sambuka, if you take the time to learn how to read, you'll notice this:

Clear enough? As far as I hate spam, I know your so called "rules" of internet, probably better than you.

So you sell your members info? Could you let us all know which is your site?

NiteRain 12-08-2002 11:31 PM

I think it is just a site that wants to make more money off a customer by shifting them to another affiliate program, while hitting them up for their own membership. Wonder how well it does, I seen a few emails like that circuilating around.

Shh! Spammers don't exist because sponsor programs would never allow them to cheat, steal and harass tens of millions of adults and children.
