Tokyo government threatens split with US
 

A split is emerging between the United States and Japan over the new Tokyo government's anti-globalisation rhetoric and its threats to end a refueling agreement for US ships in support of the war in Afghanistan.

Yukio Hatoyama, the leader of the Democratic Party of Japan, has caused alarm in Washington after publishing an article blaming the US for the ills of capitalism, the global economy and "the destruction of human dignity".

That sucks, but I guess they are losing confidence in us since we can't even manage our own country. But I doubt that they will evict our military from Japan since they don't have a means to protect themselves at the moment. It does make sense to bond relationships with China too. I will be visiting Japan this fall to see the inlaws and will most likely visit some people at the military base also.

I'm not sure how I can make this much clearer. Obama and Bush are/were playing from the same playbook. Does sports talk do it for you? Or maybe I can put this in the terms of sex. Obama and Bush slept with the same person got aids and are now fucking everybody. That work for you?

If YOU became president tomorrow, and legitimately wanted to change the status quo, do you really think it would be possible to accomplish much in just 8 or 9 months?

That being said, NOTHING fucked up this country more than the previous administration. Obama doesn't worry me one bit. This country took an ugly fucking turn as soon as the GOP targeted the Clintons at all cost, and we have divided further each day since.

The truth is any trained monkey could have gotten us here, and any trained monkey can get us out. Fuck, you can sit in the oval office and do nothing for the next four years and things will better.

That is if it were trained by a moral and ethical human being. What exactly would it take for you to start to judge Obama? And what exactly are you judging him on? Change? If thats all you want an untrained monkey can do that. Might not be the result you wanted but I guess you always have hope. What happens if it's not the change you hoped for? Can we try the trained monkey afterwards?
