made a little script that gzips your js files and css files saving up to 80% on datatransfer.

You should have looked at the already implemented solutions

1 ) mod_gzip --> http://sourceforge.net/projects/mod-gzip/

3 ) php zlib output compression --> http://es2.php.net/manual/en/zlib.configuration.php

they dont work standard with css and js files. Mine converts them to gzip.

What's on your pages that css and js can even come close to 80% of your bandwidth?

I think he meant he reduced the amount that the CSS and JS caused, by 80%. Not his total transfer amount by 80%.
