Dog owners - do your dogs sleep with you?
Ours usually don't but last night we were too wiped out to take them back downstairs. So, we let them sleep with us all night. The pug was great but the spaniel made sure I had the worst night sleep in many moons.
Do your dogs sleep with you or is that a no no in your home? |
I sleep with a stuffed Panda. So cuddly. My GF and I steal it from each other in our sleep.
|
on the edge of my bed or she crawls under the covers
|
no. once when the big one was a puppy we did, but it is a bad habit and hard to break them of.
he used to sleep in a bed in our room but they make too much noise at night grooming themselves, its gross and annoying. plus I can't stand them waiting for my every toss and turn to wake up, let me sleep dammit. they sleep in the living room right now, about to be trained to sleep in the other part of the house when the baby comes. I have to get one of those sonic bark things to keep them in line, they are spoiled and will bark for us when they do not get their way. I don't feel bad, they have nice cozy beds and blankets. They'd just prefer to sleep all in between us and shit. stinky dogs. :1orglaugh |
dog sleeps on the floor, both pussies sleep in bed, one with tail and another without tail
;) |
Our dogs sleep in the bed with us, but they're small so it's not a huge inconvenience.
|
No fucking way
I sleep naked, no fucking way |
No never. He sleeps in the kitchen where a dog should sleep. When he was a puppy and I came home drunk I either fell asleep on the sofa with him or was too drunk to notice him following me upstairs and a couple times I woke up with him licking my face.
He's 5 now tho and has slept in the kitchen most of his life. When he gets tired if I'm watching tv he just goes into the kitchen and lays down on his bed, no need for me to even put him to bed sometimes. |

it took about 2 years to break him of sleeping in the bed with us. I'd wake up and he would have his head tucked under the blankets at the foot of the bed, it was funny. :1orglaugh but he has his own blanket, he won't go to sleep unless he wraps his whole body in it. even in the middle of summer, he is super spoiled. |

The boxer does sleep with us because she snuggles up and just passes out... the shar pei, no, because he's a huge dog and likes to sleep on his back with his paws to the sky and that's just not comfortable to sleep next to... haha
|
once the puppy can hold his bladder the night through, they will both be allowed to sleep in the house again.
|
My dog prefers to sleep on a cool surface like the bathroom floor or porch but at times he
will get on my bed for a nap or to hold my place while I'm out. What's really cool is every morning at almost the same time he will come in to wake me up. He gently jumps up on the bed and sneaks over to me and with surgical precision he touches the tip of his nose to my closed eyelid to make me come alive. They say your eyes are the window to your soul and it makes me smile every morning when my dog comes in to raise the blinds :) |
No she doesnt. If my girl is out of town ill let her sleep with me but under normal circumstances no. The bed we kinda see as meant only for us to be in together. Having animals in your bed would no doubt take away from any sort of intimacy.
We do sometimes let her up on the couch to chill with us though. |
No way I'm letting my Siberian Husky sprawl out on my bed. She's too damn big and sheds like there's no tomorrow.
|
No way...
|
I love my dogs, but I don't allow them into bed...
|
No dog allowed in my bed, they have their own beds...
|
Dogs... they lick butt, they pee on their own legs, they eat turds...
Nope, not allowed in the bed. |

He wouldn't want to. Which is a good thing.

Nope, my dog never sleeps with us.
Instead, I've trained her to sleep at the top of my stairs. If anyone sneaks in, they'll trip right over her. My cat sleeps with me, which is great. She's got a natural clock and wakes me up shortly before 7am every morning. |
No way.
1. I don't want a big brown thing that farts and snores hogging my bed. 2. I wouldn't give up my alpha role by letting my dog in my sleeping area. He sleeps on his own bed, on the other side of the room. |

Not here either. When we got our dog, we were told that he slept with the previous owner's kids. The first night, It took 4-5 times of getting him off the bed and moving him to his own bed on the floor next to us. He learned quickly from that. Though for the next couple of months, he would still go back and forth from one side of the bed to the other to 'ask' us if he could come up. So cute. He would still wait until he hear us in the mornings, and then jump up to greet us. I miss that.
|
My male dog will sleep with me, he is about 90 lbs. I don't see what the big deal is, he keeps me warma nd often he'll be laying on me. The female(45lbs) sleeps on the couch or in her bed.
|
My shih tzu, Chloe, sleeps on the bed with me (cause no one else does ATM). She's always down toward my feet somewhere or about the bend of my knee.
Once she's off the bed in the morning, the cats take over.. it's a virtual pussy free-for-all. |
nope, my gsp is 75 lbs... and he REALLY tried to sleep in the bed, but we finally broke him of it. in the mornings though, he will sometimes try to 'work' the bed, go from one side to the other, seeing if he can get invited in lol.
our cat sleeps at the end of the bed though. hassle free. |
damn pets sleeping in beds wtf

Cute dog, and I love those pillows! :) |
Our dogs generally sleep on the floor beside the bed. They are not allowed on the bed or any other furniture without getting permission to be there, so they only come on the bed when invited to do so. Our one dog will sit at the end of the bed and just rest her nose on the edge and look up to ask if she's allowed to come up. If we don't invite her she just goes and curls up on the floor.

I dont like pets on my bed!

|
Our dog sleeps in her own bed on the floor beside ours, but one of the cats does sleep in the bed every night. The other cat either sleeps in the office - or, spends the entire night going in and out of the pet door onto the back patio.
|
Mine does till he starts licking his nuts.
The sound is annoying so I give him the boot :thumbsup |
I wouldn't really mind if the dogs actually slept, but they move around every 30 minutes, snore, wake up to drink, etc...

My shih tzu sleeps on my head.
|
yep in the covers wish i had a good pic hes soo cute
|
My fiance's dogs both sleep with us, at the foot of the bed, although one dog has sort of adopted the handicapped hamster and now sleeps near the hamster condo and keeps a close eye on "her baby". If the cats go near the cage, she growls at them....pretty damn funny...
|
Our dog sleeps with my wife. It is a toy sized dog so it is hard to even notice. Right around 10:30pm each night the dog will come wonder into the room, hop up on the bed and fall asleep by 10:45pm.
On rare occassion she will fall asleep in the livingroom after playing with the cat or something. Eventually she will wake up and realize she isnt in bed and come in here and be back asleep quickly. She is pretty damn good with all of it. She just does things like clockwork. Bedtime at 10:30, poddy break at 6am-6:30am, returns to bed, sleeps until wife wakes up. She also will not bother or touch me until I also wake up. Then the cat sleeps with me at my feet. |
