Dreams of running/owning a marijuana dispensary?

May be the ideal business, career, investment for many. Of course they are not 100% safe and even though Obama has said no more raids at least one did occur after he said that.

For some reason though when people think California they often just think about LA area and occasionally the Bay Area. Both of which not only have an abundance of clubs, they also often have fixed numbers of clubs allowed, special licenses, and many more hurdles. Then to top it off San Fran and Oakland, with Oakland now as ground zero of such clubs and how they should be ran. Of course getting clubs in such areas would be a major battle at very least.

Currently in my area there are just a small handful of clubs in 4 near connected cities. We do however have an official state card issuing office as well as at least 1 full time prescription doctor. Of these clubs 3 are in a small town north of me and there are about the same number in my city (largest of the four), other two towns have none.

All of these clubs are a joke. Despite having close access to some of if not the best pot in the country/world. Most of these clubs have crappy supplies, lack any edible food, seem as seedy as hell, and well are not ran like they should be. Some are so paranoid that it is invite only, another is based in some dudes house and honestly I do not want to buy pot from a dude in his undies playing xbox - I can already deal with that buying off the street. The whole situation is just a fucking joke.

Would be a prime place for someone to open such a service. Hell it can be a pure grow and deliver service or a full retail location.
I would already be all over this as I had ran one in the past before shit had settled down and well I have told that story before. Anyways I would be all over this but right now and in the near future I know I could not give it my all or what is needed with my current state of health. Perhaps in the future but odds would dictate someone would jump in and dominate the area before I was 80-100% healthy.

Anyways just tossing it out there. If someone wants to talk hit me up via email or in the thread. I just would like to see someone open one up near me the right way.

The Michigan MMJ scene is off to a somewhat rocky start. The law is very vague and really needs to be fleshed out, plus the patients feel they are entitled for free meds. They don't grasp the costs associated with growing medical grade and can't justify the costs passed on to them.

Co-ops/dispensaries aren't allowed here yet, so it makes it tough to provide an uninterrupted supply to patients. Plus with a 12 plant limit you have to be a master of timing. Hopefully there will be amendments to the law to benefit all concerned.

He would, I do not want an investor. I can not run the shit right now. Just willing to toss up the offer man. Not searching for investors, partners, etc. At most all I would do is consult, give needed info, and the rules one needs to stick to. Also would explain how to legally profit without raising flags. As I expressed I just want a quality center here.

You can not operate them as for profit. They need to be either not profit or non profit. Patient involvement is key, then play within the rules. People can make good money, but this is not a free market to just sell drugs for profit.
