Anyone else beta-testing CCBill tangible goods processing?

so far, im pretty impressed with the system they have set up.

I personally like dealing with 1 processor, rather than use multiple processors, and when they make it that easy to get another subaccount and just add it on, cant beat that.

going to start testing the affiliate side of it later this week, but so far im pretty impressed

anyone else using it and have feedback? anyone having any problems with it?

whatif_3 09-16-2009 08:54 AM

The process is fairly simple on our end - if you're using osCommerce - there's already a module developed for that cart software and makes it VERY simple to setup. Setup a new sub account - and we'll setup the profile for tangible processing and send you instructions and requirements. You can call or email your sales representative or support department for more information.

:thumbsup

This is actually through your CCBill account. The ECSuite processing for adult tangible goods is a process of getting a merchant account through us, but this is true 3rd party processing through a new CCBill sub account and can certainly be setup in an existing affiliate program, or a new program can be setup for this.

corvette 09-16-2009 01:31 PM

what andy just said :)

webmasterchecks 09-16-2009 03:06 PM

can you comment on how this is different than regular subscription processing?

Ayla_SquareTurtle 09-16-2009 03:24 PM

Do the goods have to be adult? Would home beer brewing supplies qualify? Appx. cost?

What he said. ??

jcsike 09-16-2009 03:41 PM

yes, the fee is cheaper on the non-adult side than the adult stuff, think were paying around 6-7% when all is said and done for that side of it

Mutt 09-16-2009 03:42 PM

and it's the same processing % fee as for subscription sites?

sextoyking 09-16-2009 03:48 PM

Corvette,

Good news there :)

We should talk soon..

When sextoybusiness.com is open for wholesale customers who wish to run there own store, mabey they can use ccbill if they don't wish to get there own merchant acct.

Thanks

Todd

Are there any plans to do a Zen-Cart module?

How is sales tax handled? In other words, do you automatically charge sales tax if a customer from Arizona makes a purchase (since it?s your merchant account) or do I charge California customers sales tax (since I?m based in Cali)?

For right now the fees are the same for this beta program as for regular subscription processing.

NETBilling-Andy 09-17-2009 11:19 AM

The fee's are the same as the rest of your CCBill account for adult products. If you have non adult products, we can do the same setup through our mainstream payment system at 4.9% plus $1 per transaction there.

As far as sales tax - your cart software will be posting in the price to charge on the CCBill form, so that's done on your end before getting to CCBill.

Just found out we've been working with Dream Creations - on a module for Zen Cart.

Hope this helps!

You're correct about shopping carts. My point is, will CCBill be considered a reseller or authorized agent. If so, then I don't have to collect California sales tax for products shipped to the state of California. However, CCBill may have to collect sales tax for products being shipped to the state of Arizona.

It would be nice to let customers know that there are additional charges, if any, for making the purchase.

Currently we offer full integration through OS Commerce and are working on modules for other cart providers.
