Warning Page - "I disagree" - where to send this traffic?

actually - does ever anyone click on that? and if so, where should i send it? Amazon? Toys'R Us??? ;)

thx

Tom_PM 09-16-2009 01:07 PM

When I used to do it, I'd send it to google or yahoo or somewhere benign. Maybe a find a term you "own", and send it there.

Probably best to not link it anywhere, it's not like anyone would click on it anyway...

You could add some tracking to the link with google.
<a href="http://outgoinglink.com" onclick="pageTracker._trackEvent("event.category", "event.action", "event.label");">I disagree</a>

You own mainstream domain.
Don't waste it. SEs will see it.

96ukssob 09-16-2009 01:36 PM

i used to have those on my pages, and i used to send them to a blockbuster affiliate program :1orglaugh

epitome 09-16-2009 01:40 PM

Sign up for a program called Condom Cash (CCBill program) and use the referral link for their Evidence Wipe software ... you may just pick up the occasional sale.

fuzebox 09-16-2009 01:44 PM

I don't use them. They can close the window or hit the back button if they don't want to view my site, I am not diluting my link power :2 cents:

Is there anything legal stopping you from sending traffic to another site you own that isn't adult only? For instance a I disagree page could lead to an affiliate page for another more mainstream product. Girls Gone Wild would team up with something like College Party Videos or a beer bong supplier. Who knows, might convert..

fake search engine page when the only results are your mainstream sites or affiliate pages.

pornguy 09-17-2009 07:35 AM

Send it to a mail stream portal site you own

Does this software clear the surfer's cookies? If so I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole, and neither should any other affiliate who relies on those cookies to make comissions :2 cents:

The answer is usually always "no".

good point

Voodoo 09-17-2009 09:13 AM

Send it to one of your other sites. Then CJ your network. IMO, YOU don't HAVE to give them somewhere else to go other than your own sites. They know how to type in their address bar. Why make it easy for them? Try to keep them as long as possible and show them as much as you can before they leave.
