How exciting/rewarding, do you think your own life is?

Compared to the people that you know outside of the adult biz, who work typical nine to five jobs?

Im just curious and love to hear from some of you.

L-Pink 09-16-2009 02:59 PM

Guys are envious, wife's hate me. Pretty much without exception.

Story of my life man.

Barefootsies 09-16-2009 03:22 PM

Friends and male strangers find my life exciting.

Being able to travel, do multiple vacations a year, shoot toe/porn that is of personal interest and work with late teens, early twenty women. Also able to work from home, have freedom and flexibility in hours and work schedule. Not to mention I make significantly more than most of them.

I personally do not find my life all that exciting.

As for rewarding... I do find my work and life very personally rewarding on many levels.

:2 cents:

I hear you, thanks for the post.

Twig 09-16-2009 03:34 PM

I also work the typical 9-5.... well, not really. It's a full-time job, but I'll keep the details of it private.
Adult is a part-time for me. Nobody in my full-time believe me until I show them.

baddog 09-16-2009 03:39 PM

I love my life. Don't really pay much attention to what others think about it. I know I am having a blast. I would not go back to the 9-5 grind for anything.

they may, they may not, but I think what baddog means is the freedoms that we have doing what we do. if we worked a regular 9-5 job many of those freedoms would not exist. Also, in most cases, not all, this is a more relaxing environment than at a 9-5 job. At least I see it that way. Nevertheless, I think that we enjoy more freedoms than the average joe working 9-5 at a job he probably hates.

It isn't that bad as long as you are doing what you enjoy, but to be honest, the two fields I was most proficient at have probably left me behind.

Technology changes and so do laws, so I would have a ton of catch up to play. :1orglaugh

Killswitch - BANNED FOR LIFE 09-16-2009 04:11 PM

I work a 9-5 but I love it, because it's the same thing I did from home, except instead of relying on webmasters for work, I get a steady paycheck from a company.

Naughty Emma 09-16-2009 04:27 PM

I'm going to nursing school for stability. Being a nurse and saving lives will give me a rush, but I love being naked. I'll probably stop the biz when I'm done with school.

Twig 09-16-2009 04:33 PM

When my wife finishes her school(Radiology) and gets into a career, I can finish my contract with my normal job and switch full-time to adult.

They say love what you do and you'll never work a day in your life. Thus, I don't work :)

VeriSexy 09-17-2009 01:00 AM

gecko 09-18-2009 02:38 AM

Working whenever you what is what makes the online biz the best

StinkyPink 09-18-2009 02:40 AM

Exciting? Very.

Rewarding? Hardly.

SleazyDream 09-18-2009 02:47 AM

exciting and rewarding!!!!!!!

okny 09-18-2009 03:04 AM

I love what i do for a living therefore i never work a day in my life.

The bank roll is there so therefore i can enjoy life to fullest.

FrozenJag 09-18-2009 05:49 AM

Exciting? umm not so much really.

Rewarding? In soooo many ways.

Adult webmasters that are making a full time living have it soooo easy. For example 3 years ago I started with nothing, turned it into a full time living within 6 months. 1 year later had made enough to fund an offline business. I can tell you right now that owning your own business is the american dream right? Honestly though, owning your own internet business that makes bank should be the american dream! haha, I alot of times dread working some at my offline business even though I have 2 people working there full time. Its cause ive gotten so damn spoiled with the online stuff.

So not only is what we do so much better then working for someone else, its even way better then working for yourself in an offline business! What other business can you 1. Bank 2. Work from anywhere in the world 3. Go at your own pace / make money while you sleep 4. Insert here!

My thoughts :]

One last thought... I fucking hate having to call people all the time on the phone, its so much easier just hitting someone up on icq or email. Yeah sometimes call if you have to but its no comparison to an offline business where the phone is the biggest communication tool.

I love my work, but not too happy with my lifestyle to be honest.

This is why I took a year off when I turned 30.

In this line of work, we should all take a year off and just do what you want,... money or not, wasting away behind a desk is not what humans were put on this earth to do.

yeah man you should atleast take 1 month off. Honestly though its really up to your personality and only you know you best. Sometimes too long of vacations can do more harm then good. For example a long bout of being away its possible even when you come back to work, your not really "back" per sey.

Something like your feeling though maybe even 3 months would be a huge help. Get outta your normal area and comfort zone though and go visit some places.

Well, I was going through some other things at the time, so I took a year off, moved across country, got out of LA for awhile, moved to quiet place and started gardening and just getting away from it all... still havent left. Been down here having a blast for 3 years....

I think I went through my midlife crisis at 29, freaked out and just said fuck it, Im moving and going to spend my days shirtless in the garden and in the sun, and my nights reading and not looking at a computer, after 6 months youll be suprised at how bad you wanna get back and do some creative/innovative things!

it can do wonders for your mind, body, and soul!
