Hey Bad Dog,
What's up! I saw just that sign up. First off, a big welcome to Chris, he's been a busy beaver. Also, a big thanks to all of my old friends out there who've made that cross over and came to the show in Denver. Obviously we're ramping up for the Los Angeles Show and quite excited about that. The Denver show was amazing for us and of course our first one. The feedback was amazing on it and that told us we chose a lot of great partners as the turn out was wonderful. We're entertaining the thought of a European presence & will announce that within the next couple weeks. As to L.A., like Chris said....if you're into mainstream...this is the show to be at. With show's being as costly as they have become, FREE sounds really good these days. There is a caveat. You need to be an active working affiliate for a mainstream company that we can verify. That's it! If you are a program or a program manager, you will have to pay to attend. For those wondering why the difference...simply put...without the affiliates...we're left to drive our own traffic. We all know that a strong affiliate base brings great new business opportunities as well as more revenue to the bottom line. With this approach, we've been able to take a skewed attendance base and move it from a vendor to vendor scenario to a Vendor to Affiliate & vice versa! At the Denver Affiliate Convention, we had over 87% of attendees registered on the floor as active, working affiliates. This works for program operators, and in a big way. So I hope I get to see some of you out in L.A. Remember, getting signed up early gives us plenty of time to verify you are a working affiliate to guarantee your free attendance. |

In fact, you want to ensure ALL of your affiliates go? Fine, no sweat! Send me a list of first & last names. You can protect their data and you know we aren't just trying to grab your list. Then when they show up, all they have to do is give us their first & last name & what program they are with. Then we'll print a badge that has their name & your company name as being a guest at AffCon on your behalf. There are plenty of sponsorships and bundles to be done. Nothing is in stone, and our team is only happy to help make the experience as painless and easy for all involved. Don't believe me, just try it once and you'll see what I mean. Chris can help you out with getting any sponsorships sewn up. +++CHRIS+++ You know what to do, take care of the man and ALL of his affiliates if he wants. |

Our mantra here is to turn this boat back around to what it used to be with vendors hawking to an audience of affiliates. Not vendor to vendor. That's gotten old...obviously. So our minds were open from day 1 to a completely new experience for a show and its attendees, sponsors and exhibitors. Example: Its a down economy, there's no shortage of trade shows to attend. Why would I start a new one? Simple. To get the affiliates BACK. How were we intending on doing that? Simple, attack the core of what keeps people from attending in a down economy...cost centers. We incentivized exhibitors by removing traditional hard costs. We paid for your electrical to your booth. We paid for the Internet to your booth. We even got the Hyatt to swing free Internet for all room nights for all of the attendees. Then remove the cost of attendance for active, working affiliates...well, you just can't go wrong there. The educational tracks, were second to none and in a lot of the sessions...standing room only! Obviously, we didn't expect that strong of a response to the sessions. Happily, we were wrong! Affiliates are hungry for this knowledge and the latest, greatest Affiliate Marketing tactics and techniques along with SEO, SEM, Metrics, Social Media and more. Having been to way too many trade shows myself, I surely wanted to see something new and different and help make a positive difference with a show like this. So I do hope you peeps find what were doing beneficial to your organizations & your bottom line. |
Trust me, we are active affiliates. :)

Your posts confuses me.. I'm not really sure what people should get? You don't have to divulge anything at the shows and you can just come as an Adult Affiliate if you want. People only care about what you're doing if you tell them something first. But with the lineup they have, just sitting half drunk in a chair at the bar is going to be a learning expereince for everyone listening, let alone everything else they have going on. |

If you are an XY7 affiliate, then state that. We'll follow up with their team to validate that you are indeed active, that you aren't a problem maker for the program (no one likes riff-raff at the shows) and that they wish to sponsor you. If you belong to multiple networks, you can say so in the comments area. We'll pick one and validate you for sponsorship. Then viola! You will receive an email from us after validation that gives you confirmation of your registration. Then come to the show. Grab your badge and enjoy. Sit in on some great sessions to learn the latest and greatest in every area that would affect an affiliate marketer. Hang out at the networking events, meet some people and cut some deals. Now FYI...WHAT YOU TELL THEM IS YOUR BUSINESS! So if you don't want them to know your business, don't tell them! :1orglaugh However, that should not keep you from coming to the show... |
I will be in San Diego during December so I might drive up and stay a night in LA..
how do I qualify? :upsidedow sweet Danny Sullivan will be there! |
