You may have been credited a sale. I have done this many times. For instance when our join form went down for a period of time, I checked most peoples averages and compensated them without them even knowing. I just took an inhouse sale and credited it to the affiliate.
Someone may have reversed shaved you. They seen you pushed so much traffic and did not get a sale within your normal ratio or within their advertised ratio. So they add a sale to your account to keep your stats happy and you sending traffic, figuring it was just a bit of bad luck. Then again some may credit sales to boost some peoples ratios, if they for instance know that person likes to post such shit on the boards. In such an instance the affiliate is typically 100% in the dark about it.
