Looking for a company or companies ...

To sponsor my Everest Expedition. Great publicity for your company, and as an added bonus I might die. You'd be a hero on GFY! :thumbsup

how much in sponsorship funds are you looking for?

At this point I'm just floating around the idea to see if there's any interest from adult companies.

Just hike to base camp and call it a wrap. Much cheaper. :winkwink:

Originally that was going to be the plan to hit base camp during a 4 week trip to Nepal. I've kind of always wanted to do Everest though, even though it's not particularily technical. I think I want to try for the top.

No of course not, but it's more a factor of altitude and weather than it is of real technical climbing ability. There are far more challenging climbs than Everest. It's no K2 is what I'm saying.

i agree, definitely not as tech as K2 or trango, but the altitude makes up for it..

i have heard that some people say your body and mind are either built for everest or not..

but then again, i have also heard that guys that were built for everest died because of some unlucky event...

i think a few sherpa guides die each year and they are excellent climbers and very acclimated to the altitude.

anyway, if thats your dream, you should go for it..

if someone was willing to oay for my trip, i would be there in a minute..

If you put together a proper pitch with the right execution im SURE you will see that more then a few companies would be interested in sponsoring something like this!

My business partner did it on 2008 ( to the top).
It cost him around 30k.
