Toronto Maple Leaf fans. What do you think of the new team this year?
 

I had my doubts about some of the players they picked up and traded away, but so far they look good. A Hagman, Stajan, Kessel (when healed up) line could be pretty good. Beuchemin and Kaberle power play looks deadly. Some even say they might be good enough to be a force to be reckoned with in the East.

Play off run maybe? What do you think?

Love the Kessel trade. Not sure they can make the playoffs but Burke said that is his goal so he is obviously a buyer and we have some defense to deal.

Burke knows what he is doing. He's making the team over in his image, as always. As a Duck fan, I can't really complain about what he did for Anaheim :pimp

Unless guys like Tlusty, Grabovski, Kulemin have breakout seasons though, I don't think the Leafs will make the playoffs. They will definitely be a harder team to play against than last year though.

I think we'll have some real competition for last place this year.

This year I officially boycott the Leafs until they make the playoffs!

This season looks awesome! Good GM and Coach, the blue line is a monster, we have a "monster' in net and now we have some good goal scoring prospects with Kessel, Blake and Grabovski.

I just wish we still had Sundin... *sigh*

Hopefully Burke doesn't burn too many draft picks like he did with the Canucks. It's already starting over there. As long as things improve while he's there, that's all he cares about.

They are in a rebuilding year. No one does squat in these periods. Expect them to tie Florida in losses.

You and me both - been suckered into hoping for the Leaf's for over 30 yr's now and it's depressing each time I hear "this could be the year" - then see them fall apart and promise next year will be better.
