What do you know about it?
AFAIK with modern medicine HIV+ individuals can expect to live a normal lifespan. Are only poor people dying from AIDS nowadays?

If detected early enough, and treated well enough, it falls into the chronic disease category.

It is still something that nobody should want. There are a ton of complications but life goes on.

I know plenty of people living with it, but their lives sure aren't easier.

They will probably die from it. The one family member I have who is HIV+ seems to live a normal life, and he was diagnosed 8 or so years ago now.

thats usually the way it is with all healthcare...however more in regard to this virus

In the UK we have a phrase - 'post code lottery'....Having HIV/AIDS in one country is a different thing than having it in another.

I've never met anyone who has AIDS but I guess in today's day and age it's very manageable.
