wordpress help search and replace
ok here is the situation
Most of my posts have the regular text color and then a the bottom some different color text I put in manual via html. Now I am getting a new blog template and that color will not look good on the new template. So I have to go into each post and manually change each HTML color Code to another HTML color code, problem is there is like 250 posts... I tried the search and replace plugin by wordpress but it didnt do anything, it found the entries but didnt change them. Any other suggestions |
hmm... maybe it would be a bit easier if you edited mysql db directly to change the code.. bump for you
|
sheesh that is a good idea, I have done that in the past, just been so long I forgot, thanks for the reminder

If you have hundreds of posts I don't think that's a good ideea, you'll need to use some sql commands for a search and replace. If you don't manage I can help you out.

if you have something like phpmyadmin installed it shouldnt be too hard to edit the mysql database? good luck
