GFY should regulate registrations......

I think GFY should tighten registrations.... make it more of a industry only board (B2B) rather to consumers or non business owners (B2C ) .... oh and more staff ;-)

What do you guys think? Discuss....

Iron Fist 09-28-2009 12:18 AM

I think affiliate programs should all be B2B... but sadly they are B2C which is another reason why everyone feels entitled to free porn these days.

CYF 09-28-2009 12:18 AM

and who decides what's an allowable business? Only paysite owners and content producers? Or hosting companies too? What about the designers, people that sell domains, make banners, etc? What about affiliates?

Are there really that many surfers on here anyways? If you're looking for free porn it seems to be a pretty shitty place to find it.

Yes, all of those in the industry that provide some sort of legit business....as long as they are registered and everyone knows who they are. I think this can be done by starting off with sigs? Maybe make it mandatory to fill out fields?

But i always wondered what the % of people here are surfers ?.... :-)

What would GFY do with all the people who were ran out of business 2008-2010?

Put in a section for, 'old retired, and run out of business, webmaster' section?

They already regulate to some degree who can register, and forcing them to e-mail ICE or ERIC. Are you asking they go to an XBIZ type format?

bloggerz 09-28-2009 01:09 AM

100% agreed

ThumbLord 09-28-2009 05:42 AM

I think it will be a hell of a job to get rid of the % of surfers who swarm this place.

The Duck 09-28-2009 06:50 AM

Who are all these surfers you talk about anyway.

fatfoo 09-28-2009 07:52 AM

I think that deleting annoying irrelevant threads and spam would help the quality of this board and people will like it more. I think the forum should be free to everyone.

I think consumers might have some useful things to say as well, such as whether they enjoyed the content or not.

ThumbLord 09-28-2009 07:56 AM

well have to agree on deleting annoying and/or irrelevant threads.

Not only that, they don't allow people to sign up with a free email service address, @gmail, @hotmail, etc, must be a domain email.

Who is still in business or not shouldnt be gfy concern, no? No need for a new section...

Everyone is a surfer, unless the only way you are on the internet is looking at your own, or client sites that you are working on... :2 cents:

u-Bob 09-28-2009 02:28 PM

blocking googlebot would be another option :)

digitaldivas 09-28-2009 03:29 PM

i agree and think that mandatory sigs, or proof of domain would be some good options. No matter what your selling, you should have web presence to be considered legit.
