W3 Total Cache vs WP Super Cache - Wordpress Plugin

I have used WP Super Cache forever on my blogs. Im thinking of switching to W3 Total Cache because it is suppose to be faster 50 to 100% faster.

Has anybody ever used W3 Total Cache?

thanks

Never used it here... but I will give it a try. Tnx for sharing it.

You can't go wrong with smaller pages and such, for sure on anything with high traffic or lots of installs... hell if your big enough you may be able to see a 30% reduction in page size on the bw charts.

"Trusted by many popular blogs like: mashable.com, pearsonified.com, webdesignerdepot.com, freelanceswitch.com, briansolis.com, css3.info, tutsplus.com, yoast.com, noupe.com and others — W3 Total Cache improves the user experience of your blog by caching every aspect of your site, reducing the download time of your theme and providing transparent content delivery network (CDN) integration."

Finally, got it working and so far it is blazing fast.

I am currently using the "disk" as the caching method.

I tried Super cache on my busiest MU blog, It worked fine, then suddenly, it was showing blank pages, and I had to un-install it. I may have to give totalcache a go.

W3 Total Cache has "minify" settings that shrink CSS and JS files.

I just cut down my CSS and JS files in half.

Everything is working and loading incredibly fast.

Sounds great, I'll check it out.

APC is being compiled on to my server. That should speed it up some more.
APC Alternative PHP Cache

Using PECL to install

People with huge WordPress site shoud consider using this plugin along with APC and memcached.

This guy just switched to using W3 Total Cache.

you can resolve this by deleting the cache

i have memcached already installed (smart tube pro requires it)

plus wp super cache has a bug with duplicate content.

domain.com and domain.com/index.php

also domain.com/post-name/ and domain.com/post-name/index.php

With memcached you can use other servers to server up cache pages and files.

Scalability is what is lacking in WP Super Cache.

W3 Total Cache you can keep added other servers to even out the load.

Finally, got everything working. My server load is down significantly and my WordPress pages are coming up extremely fast.

The only thing that sucks is when I clear the cache pages manually my server slows down big time. I wish there was an option to clear cache pages in smaller chunks.
