Whats with companies not paying affiliates these days?
It seems like there isnt a day that goes by where someone isn't posting a thread about a company not paying its affiliates. What gives?
IMO, I think these programs need to start thinking like a business and not a group of friends running a website out of their parents basement. There will be months were revenue and profit are razor thin, and some where you are in the red, but that means that affiliates have to suffer for that?
The only defense these programs have is to come back and say "you are high risk and have a lot of charge backs" just to cover their asses. I'm willing to bet that 90% of the people posting about not getting paid do NOT fall into that category.
Truth is, the owners probably didn't make enough to cover their cars and house payments and would rather not pay you as an affiliate to make sure they are fully covered. Ive dropped a lot of programs because of seeing a lot of this going on and not only on this board.
Sure, I dont have as wide as a net as far as content and sites, but I do know that I will get paid on time every month and every thursday I can look forward to getting my CCBill check out of the mail box
