Dear Zachary: A Letter to a son about his father

Not sure how many of you have seen this, but this documentary is one of the most powerful 90 minutes of film I've ever seen. The plot is that a guy was murdered by his ex-gf. His best friend decides to make a video for his son that would show him the kind of person his dad was through the eyes of close friends, family, and co-workers.

The story continues to develop through the documentary and you go through a rollercoaster ride of emotions. I won't give away anything else because it's really more powerful to just see it without having any knowledge going in. Amazing documentary that left me emotionally crushed at the end. Never had a movie do that to me and I even had trouble sleeping.

The movie is on Netflix and is available for instant viewing. I would recommend not looking too far into the story online as it will ruin the ending and the impact.

I went ahead and spoiled it for myself because I knew I wasn't going to watch it. Ever since Dancer in the Dark, I just can't do those "keeps you up at night" movies.

Dancer in the Dark CRUSHED me. I had no idea what I was going to see, no preconceived notions.
