did you know that back in the slave days , the slaves pushed through a law that limited the amount of lobster you could feed your slaves. Lobster was often fed to slaves by slave-owners because it was cheap and plentifull.

Also during the same time period and for some time later the main street food was oysters. They not only were super cheap, the majority of east coast roads were made from their shells.

I hate to be the one to break this to you, but the shrimps and scallops eat basically the same thing the lobsters eat...:upsidedow

Next time you're tearing up a lobster, look closely at the shell and marvel at how crustaceans evolved to have that rigid hard waterproof, yet flexible layer.

hmm looks like theres less cholesterol in lobster than shrimp, crabs, oysters, prawns, pork , chicken, beef , and lamb the only common shellfish lower in cholesterol is clams and scallops

then again you rarely dip any of the above items in butter ( cept shrimp of course ) :)
