Candid Hosting Banner - Is it general or targeted towards any competitor.
 

First, let me say I use them for some of our hosting and are expanding with them, although most of our servers are elsewhere.

So, am I overthinking that banner?

I think it's good. Many of us who have been doing this for a few years do feel like we've been Fucked by a few hosts. Not intentionally but fucked none the less.... I've tried about 10 myself.

To be fair I will say that I do have a server with Candid. I am happy with them.

Once I saw an Epic Cash banner that said "Hey DrewKole, check us out! We'll make you bling bling, baby!"

I must admit I thought the same. If it was targetted marketing they hit the mark pretty spot on. ;)

Your overthinking, Candid is good enough to do whatever.

There are actually a number of hosts that have had problems with downtime, so I don't think it is targeted at just one host.

Although it is kinda funny.. in an ironic sort of way.

Its been quite a while since the last candid down thread.

It would make me nervous having that banner out though because once its out there the minute you go down out comes the banner.

They didnt paypal me the $1.50 yet....

Yes of course it's unusually timely due to events of late... but it's incredibly true. Tons of people have been screwed by a variety of hosts. That's why the marketplace is so active and there is always so much business to be had.

Just like we do not sit here and tell you about all the improvements we are making. There are more than two hosting companies in the business, Candid just expressed a legitimate sentiment, since a ton of hosts are up and down like a two dollar whore at a frat party...
