Those galleries seem to have been designed with generating type-in traffic in mind, to be quite honest.

Galleries. Upper half of the galleries has no clear link to the tour and the branding in the text and logo is for "AV33.COM". The links to the side and the bottom of the flash vid, meanwhile, look like ads on a tube - the type of links surfers have been trained to ignore.

So a good portion of surfers will watch the vid, try and click the logo, find out that doesn't work, and then just type in AV33.com and hit "enter". Good for you, bad for affiliates :2 cents:

That one is a lot better, although I can't help but wonder why you keep emphasizing the "join now" part.

In the tests I did in the past, it always worked better to emphasize something different in links on galleries - mostly the prospect of seeing more of what's on the site. Surfers probably associate "join" with a join page, which I don't think they're quite ready for after a single gallery.
