I may be wrong but there is a long time now Matt Groening stopped the Simpsons. So normal there are only repeats.

Now it's Futurama.

nocostporn 12-11-2002 05:20 AM

1)Seinfeld
2)Simpsons
3)God

the new stuff hasn't cut it for a long time. the show used to be more geared towards a teenage/adult audience. now it's aimed at 9 and 10 year olds. it's definately going downhill for the sake of entertaining that audience. we can't blame them, adults have money. they'll find more money in merchandising for kids. it also draws young eyes to the Fox network...

I'll let you know if we ever get to see the new ones over here. Sky tv is the same people that own Fox. They run the Simpsons everyday and have three episodes every Sat and Sunday. Yet, they only show us like one new episode every 6 months.

They can eat my shorts.

archer 12-11-2002 10:08 AM

the new stuff in the last few seasons does seem to have lost its edge.

the last good episode was the one where Marge got the boob implants.... now that was funny

Apollo 12-11-2002 11:18 AM

Since Family Guy came out, the Simpsons never really did it for me anymore.

It's a shame that show was cancelled

salsbury 12-11-2002 11:26 AM

didn't you mean "unpossible"?

ya know that episode was on here, and I was sort of not paying attention... however I noticed the jokes seemed to have more of a vulgar edge, I like! And it caused me to stop what I was doing and look.

I think, or at least I hope, that the Simpsons gets more naughty trying to keep up with Southpark (not that they would ever top Southpark's sick humor).

Homer just beats Cartman as the #1 favorite toon character of all time.

I agree, the new episodes just are'nt as funny anymore. However, they (The Simpsons) are still one of the best shows on TV.

Lately South Park has been much funnier than the Simspons. The Simspons used to be so smart and witty but its been sucking ass lately.
Go Lemmiwinks :thumbsup

JohnV 12-11-2002 01:17 PM

The Simpsons rule, but the new shows do not have anywhere near the edge they used to have....much more slapstick nowadays :-( That said, it's still the best television show of all time:thumbsup

Jakk 12-11-2002 01:19 PM

I love the Simpsons and own quite a few collectibles. Sometimes they're harder to find than others in a shopping mall but I found a really good website that sells lots of different Simpsons stuff

Collecting Simpsons

No I don't own it, just bought stuff from there and I've been happy with what I got :thumbsup
