FeedWordPress Question

Hi,

I started using FeedWordPress to get posts from a morphing rss feed. But I can't make heads or tails with that program.

I use it mainly to get all the posts in as drafts and rewriting them all to make it unique content. But when I updated the feed today, it REWROTE my posts with the original content! Why does it do this? And is there a way to stop that?

And also, how can i insert automatic update such as 24 hours for example?

Thanks!

what feedwordpress does is take the RSS feed directly from the source, when it updates it checks for changes as well in the source data.. since your changing the data on your side it is seeing there is a change then updating it.. you will not be able to change the data yourself with feedwordpress, the way is currently is. you would have to change how it updates to do so. I hope this helps you out bud. It is a great plugin for an automated site but doesn't seem like thats what you want.

I guess i'll have to find another way to do so

I am not sure why you would pull in a morphing RSS feed and then rewrite all the posts - it kinda defeats the object of the feed (either hand-write them from scratch to start with or leave them to morph on their own), but anyway . . .
I would suggest you speak to Cyber, he's the blog / RSS expert and is REALLY helpful. He has a product called CyberSEO Suite which is a better version of FeedWordPress. It comes with free support and he is as good as it gets when it comes to blogs / RSS feeds so you can't go wrong. You can say I recommended you as I use his products and he has given me some invaluable help over the years.
His contact details are on the website.

That's what I do, I pull them in and completely rewrite the post in my own words to make it all unique :) and I can't afford CyberSEO so i'll have to do it my way but I'll try it some other way
