I've been using that on my notebook for the past 6 months or so but it is driving me c-r-a-z-y by asking me to verify my subscription every f*cking day. I don't know why it does that.. It also always seems to be either updating or scanning whenever I working on my notebook, slowing things up. I can't say that I like McAfee a lot..

NOD32 and some common sense.

Common sense is your best anti-virus protection! If it looks suspicious, don't open it.

If you're an expert and performance geek, then go with Kaspersky, usually quite expensive but you can control everything. If you don't want to worry about stuff, just buy Nortons complete 360 solution with firewall/anti-virus and everything included. It does steal some system resources, but is very user friendly and you never have to worry about things.

comodo is pretty good and free antivirus/firewall combo.
