About to say fruit stripe (brings back good memories of yes eating at k-mart in their caffeteria).
Classic juicy fruit, spearmint, doublemint, and big red. |

I so fucking remember big league chew. Actually was a gateway to trying Redman chewing tobacco (I think that was the brand) and was it applejack?
Now that makes me think back to gums like those fake cigarettes. Where you could blow out on them once and get a poof of sweetened corn starch smoke. They also came in a cigarette pack. Wonder how they escaped being sued the hell out of. |
I never was much of a gum-chewer until I quit smoking in Feb, now I go through a pack of Extra Sugar-Free Classic Bubble every day, I traded one addiction for another :Oh crap

Caffeine gum when I'm lifting, otherwise I don't chew gum. I use listerine strips for my breath when I'm out.

Damn seeing those old candy ciggs makes me also think about those colored sugar dots on that strip of paper. You would have to peel off each dot, which always contained some extra tasty paper. Then of course the whole wax candy business. From mini soda bottles filled with liquid crack, to straight out nothing inside just cool wax fangs. Of course you could always do a couple lines of a pixie stix, you got a lot for your money with those. Why not it was pure sugar and like kool aid mix. Then your safer choices like razzles, bottlecaps, or the ever popular big dip. Sort of wonder if I can still properly crack a full size laughy taffy into pieces.
I can not remember that white nougat candy bar. I just knew it was damn good at welding your jaw shut if you bit down on the piece with full force using both molars. Then never forget the power of the jolly rancher actual sticks, before they became cubes. They still had power, actually more trading power is tiny versions but it was artwork to lick a original jolly rancher stick into a super sharp shank like device. As a final kiss off for now. Who else used to buy the little clear and red packets of hot toothpics for like 10 cents? |

Are you ready for this? Chewing sugar-free gum is actually good for your teeth. If you're out and about and don't have access to a toothbrush and toothpaste, this is the second-best alternative to brushing your teeth. With one reservation, and that is the sugar issue. If you chew only while the sugar lasts and then throw it away, you will get a sugar attack on your teeth and won't see the benefits. But if you chew it for longer, it helps clean your teeth. The actual gum is pretty inert. It isn't digestible and it doesn't promote decay. It does two things. First, it mechanically cleans the surfaces of your teeth as you chew. Second, and possibly the most beneficial, it promotes the flow of saliva. Here's why that is good: Saliva is great stuff. Besides having enzymes that digest carbohydrates, it has antibodies that fight decay-causing bacteria, it contains buffers that neutralize the acids that eat at your teeth, and it contains minerals that help rebuild parts of your teeth that have been attacked by decay acid. This repair process by your saliva is a very important part of fighting tooth decay. So when you chew chewing gum and stimulate the flow of saliva, you have all these good things happening in your mouth. |
When I chew I keep it to mint varieties.

I thought you said gun lovers, but you said gum lovers...
