"Child Porn"
 

The term "Child Porn" needs to evolve and become more accurate.

It is not porn in any form. It is Child Sexual Abuse.

Firstly, the current term deteriorates the true harm and evil that has happened to the victims by associating the abuse with a legal material.

Secondly, it gives porn a bad name by associating it with something terrible and illegal.

Of course more importantly than the term changing would the elimination of child porn altogether, but there should still be room for discussing lesser related topics.

"Child Sexual Abuse" is what occurred.

"Child Porn" is a video/photo product.

"Child Sexual Abuse" can occur without "Child Porn" being produced.

How does one change a term? People know it as child porn and will use the exact same word when talking about it.

The media uses the term to sensationalize it. What needs to happen is our entire industry should start to refer to our products as "Adult Entertainment" they can't fuck with that term...:2 cents:

Nobody cares what others think of our industry and it is not like we have any lobby power, spokesmen, blah blah. Just a running joke that goes by the FSC.

It is child sexual exploitation. Though in a fucking twisted way it is still porn to the sick fucks that are into it. So it is not like they are just making the shit up.
Of course we as an industry should be separate of it and not even mentioned in the same breath. Just do not see it happening. You could attempt to get people to call porn the adult entertainment industry, easier than changing the name of cp.
