Is there any reason 5000 BOUGHT HITS per day would not appear in your logs?
This is apparently a *cough* reputable GFY regular "Traffic Source", who I've done a few campaigns with of late to test the waters.
One campaign started in the last 3 days, has reportedly given me 5000 hits per day. My logs show no hits whatsoever extra from the norm (very stable traffic to the site, around 35K per day). No options were checked to allow no referrer traffic, no cookie or proxyservers - so in theory all this traffic is directly trackable and should appear in my log files no? I'm fairly new at this traffic buying games, have used a dozen or so places so far, but this to me appears to be stealing. a) Yes b) No c) Stfu traffic buying noob, we can think of a million reasons to take your money without a rational explanation. :error |
No, they should show.

you have been Bamboozled!!!!!

The hit's should show if they don't you have been fucked.:2 cents:
|
bot hits are leet like that and dont show up
|
If a user comes to your site, unless referrer is off, should show...
|
maybe you didn't uncheck "bot" as well.
|
No, the hits should show in your stats.
|
"Is there any reason 5000 BOT HITS per day would not appear in your logs? "
Fixed it for you |
Shenanigans... now if you want 5000 real hits and know where they are coming from, see sig :)

It seems my dutch friends ignore email support requests too for 3 days.
Another traffic source to assign to the worthless crud pile. Are there actually any worth buying from? Probably, no. |
Look at this bollox.
Refund time. "Btw… our system redirect the visitor to your site without referrer or sometimes is our system the referrer because the visitor loose his original referrer duing some javascript redirects and checksums before we send him to you" |
"So.. its already possible that you got around 4k clicks from us but because you was using 3 ads in this campaign you need to divide it by 3.. that’s around 1333 unique clicks"
What they are implying is their system does not track unique hits across ads within the same campaign (all going to the same destination URL), so you may therefore only get a third of the reported uniques that they are stating. If that's the case, why would so many people be clicking on the different ads, that doesn't add up either. Unless they are bot clicks. Which would explain why they are not showing in my referrer logs. They will get their own thread shortly once I cross reference their supposed referrers against my raw logs. |

Why do people even try pulling these excuses when they are so easy to see through? They could have just as easily blamed a log failure on your end in a casual, not in depth response, and if challenged on that, proceed to blame some database or script glitch on their end. |
if your server was down... other than that the only reason for the hits not to be counted is because they were not sent...
|
And that is why we use http://www.stuffedtracker.com/

Interesting choice of Sig MoreMagic. Very pertinent.
My programmer is away for a few days, he is going to crosscheck our raw logs against those supposedly sent. Then we'll see who's got some explaining to do. Simple for me to see, you pay X amount for Y uniques, and if your stats haven't gone up by Y yet you've been charged X, then you've been fucked. I've been fucked. |
LOL I love EroAdvertising, but on same time I wouldn't buy any traffic without a good campaign tracker. Did you speak with Jan i'am sure he will help you out.

He's the one coming out with the jibberish, and refusing to budge.
I am not going to say anything else until I am backed up by my server logs, then I will take it to paypal and get them on the case for a total refund of everything I've paid them. I should have started off the campaign pointing hits to a known and well tracked domain, rather than send to sponsors first of all. Lesson learned. It's funny, he's the first dutchman I've disliked in my entire life. |
Hi Phil, haAs mentioned before, I have sent you a list of IP addresses from one day and if you'll need any more information or IP addresses to prove that from our side there was no mistake or try to cheat we can send you a full list since we're keeping all information stored from our campaigns.
|
You've sent me an xml file with ip addresses in only. Hardly proof.
I have your campaign referrer URL's and will get my programmer to match them against our logs when he's back in the office tomorrow. I am just astonished, you pay for what you think will be an extra 4000 to 5000 hits per day from someone, and your logs show no extra whatsoever. So where are those hits exactly? I trust you can see this from an end user perspective. Something just doesn't add up to me, but let's take it offline for now. |
You can check very easy by IP. If you see them it is the proof you need. I am buying already for a view years traffic by ero advertising (and others) and they are actually 1 of the little view that actually brings me sales.
Next time (with who ever you buy) use a campaign tracker. It's THE way to track (and see the roi) of your traffic Quote:

Well said, BradM. It's probably not real traffic, a bunch of bots. Said day for CunningStunt. |

According to Black Label Ads...... yes :Oh crap
Had that shit happen to me. I started a campaign and saw ZERO hits, but they took my money anyway  |
seemed like bs company anyway.

Traffic hustling is one of the only 100% profit making niches left in adult.
If you can sleep at night knowing you got over on a hard working noob, then jump on the bandwagon, and sling some shitty traffic! For you noobs, definitely scan your logs using a fine tooth comb, and post your stats, so other noobs can see how easy to it is to get hosed when buying traffic. |
you need a tracker
i bought traffic from someone recently and caught double, sometimes triple clicks in a row and IPs from CDN networks and server hosting companies |

After receiving 24 bogus emails from etology today replenishing campaigns which have been closed for 3 months, I've seen it all. Fuck the lot of them. Just online after moving house the last 3 days, am checking with my programmer about the legitimacy of the stats from the dutch mob. Not holding my breath, they seem like scammers from every email I've received so far. |
Bullshit I want to see proof. They always have send me good converting traffic.

Lol I promote them because I have great results with them.
On the other hand you are the idiot that buys traffic without a decent tracker. Ohhh and not to forget you didn't post any proof. I call for a BAN. ICEEEEEEEEEEEEE Quote:

My programmer has the raw logs, I'll have the answer one way or other next week. |
This is proof enough for me. The campaign was run on the 10th and 11th before I pulled it. Show me the extra 3000-4000 traffic increase:
http://www.hogtied.tv/logs.jpg I'm discussing this with Jan privately. |
are you fucking blind

Buying traffic that does no other good than to sell it to someone else is a waste of money. WAh WAh
|
So where is your proof big shot or are you going to give a excuse here?
|
Bump for a answer.
