Good LA beaches hotel.
I'm in LA just hanging out with the family for the weekend. We are staying at the Renaissence Hollywood for a couple of days then planning to move to another place maybe closer to the ocean.
Any insider recs. thanks :) |
You want room service or be on the beach?

The Oceana Hotel in Santa Monica is nice.
Here is a Photo Gallery. Be sure to get an ocean view... :thumbsup ADG |
I'm pretty flexible, anything that's good in terms of location or the place itself really.
We don't have a lot of ocean here in AZ so something nearish is good :) |
Oops!
Posted a link to what I had for dinner above (and it was delicious), however if you want to see the Oceana Hotel in Santa Monica, click this link. ADG |

Got to the Fairmont in Santa Monica
it's great |
Fairmont Miramar i can say is great.
The standard kingsize bedrooms have ocean view if you wanna take it up a notch get the palasin suite or even better the bungalow suite, although those dont have a balcony/oceanview but do have a bedroom and livingroom and a bit more space. Large tv's too! |
I stayed at a bed and breakfast called Blue Lantern in at Dana Point. The view was breathtaking.

Shutters on the Beach.....expensive but a great location - walk to Venice and Santa Monica. Also the Loews which is a couple of hundred feet away. Both are on Ocean Ave.
